    Golota: "Cotto Might Kill Mayweather"

"I think the welterweight division is too strong for Mayweather. He might get hurt with Cotto. Cotto might kill him. That's what I think. Mayweather is a one-punch [at a time] guy. He doesn't throw alot of combinations."
Andrew Golota, Boxing Digest, January 2008

Which is why I said Floyd is a declined fighter.

Isnt he supposed to know his boxing, being a boxing journalist and all?

I dont particularly like him, and as much as I dont want to admit it, Floyd would take Cotto to pieces.

There are 3 huge guys at welter:

        Paul
        Cintron
        Margarito

Those 3 should be at 154, but if they can make 147 at the weigh-in it's legit. They will give trouble to anyone at 147, not just Floyd.

He would skip around the ring and pot-shot Cotto all night. No way in hell he tries to actually fight Cotto. He didnt even engage Hatton until he had him hurt.

I am not Impressed with Cintron In the least and Floyd would completley embarress him.

My thoughts exactly.Shouldn't he be using his time wisely like getting into bar room brawls and using someones nutsack as a punching bag.

Boxing Digest asked Golota if he wanted to see a rematch of De La Hoya/Mayweather and Andrew immediately launched into these comments.

He said he wouldn't want to see the rematch with Oscar and Floyd because it was "boring" and "nothing happened."

He has found something that works and helps prolong his career...while I don't see the 130lb Mayweather today at 147...I don't see a completely declined fighter..he's more of a smart and business minded fighter who knows how to win
