yeah I heard about him on these forums so I was excited to see him. Dude obviously has sickening power but he fights like a rank amateur. He only won because that guy was so tentative, when Escobedo did move into punching range he landed at will almost, alas he was a bit scared at being knocked out, so he made the fight close by backing off (I wouldn't say running). He (escobedo) could have and probably should have won. From what I saw there was quite a large skill disparity.

De Leon is the definition of wild. I'm sure there are alot of guys out there who think they can beat him based of that performance.

It may be just the failing memory of an old man, but I can't remember any instance that Ponce De Leon hurt Penalosa.

If he still won't be able to manage hurting Penalosa and if Penalosa rachets up his offensive by just 15%, Penalosa will have a pretty good chance of winning.

Note that those are two IF's...

He might have been scared, but he clearly won that fight. If any rematches are to be considered, Escobedo needs his chance first.

escobedo wasnt throwing enough punches to have won that fight, he was backpedeling too much and de leon chased him around, escobedo may have landed the better punches, but they were too few, he looked like a poormans JMM out there.

escobedo didnt win that fight. it may have looked that way because he was clearly the more polished fighter but he didnt do enough to win. as far as Penalosa, i just want DPDL to knock him out. i didnt care for the extra attention Penalosa got for landing a lucky punch in a fight he was clearly losing.

Well Penalosa got attention too when he was robbed after schooling and making PDL run in their match...
