Jermain Taylor has one hell of a chin

I'm watching the Taylor fight and just in RD.1 he gets rocked with 3 right hands in a row right on the chin you can see it land flush and taylor stands there and trades back.

Just in RD.1 Taylor was getting hit with tons of flush shots. I'm confident in the rematch the same exact thing will happen. Taylor has no answer for a jab see Winky Wright.

    You're kidding, I hope.

He's not packing complete glass, but on a scale of 1-10 his chin is a 3 or a 4.

If he can keep from getting hit, though, he could win a decision.

I'd say its a bit higher because we know Pavlik can punch. Maybe a 5.

If you wanna see a good chin watch some Hagler fights

Hagler is perfect, but there are tons of good chins around middleweight. Hopkins, Calzaghe, top notch. Miranda, Kessler, Abraham have solid ones. Winky's isn't bad. Ouma has a very solid chin.

Taylor's is the worst of the lot. There's a reason he never faced big middleweights before Pavlik.

I agree with Dorian, Taylor would be rated a 7 chinwise. Hopkins' chin is great, Calzaghe and Kessler's as well. But I didn't see Miranda taking the kind of damage Taylor did, sure he was ripped apart as well, but Taylor got more flush hits to his face at leas the way I saw it. Abraham's chin has only been tested against Miranda in which he was awesome, but I think he'd get KOed by Pavlik as well. I'd rate Winky an 8 or 9 chinwise, he took flush shots from SSM and laughed, he's been in there with a LHW version of Hopkins and went the distance and was able to take Taylor's shots as well.

Taylor has a respectable chin, but you could see the damage Pavlik was doing.

Watch how many times Taylor freezes after taking a Pavilk right hand, even before the stoppage.

                That all added up.

Talyor has been hurt by the big punching Hopkins & Winky in his previous bouts
