i agree i wanna see this fight but i dont see him taking it right away. i think he'll fight mailignaggi first, and although i think it will be a VERY tough fight i expect him to win. I see the witter fight happening at the end of 2008. with witters power i see it being a very dangerous fight and for sure ricky himself knows it

i think it will be similar to the eamonn magee fight. witter is a dangerous counter puncher with hard hands (obviously he is better than magee). hatton would stalk him like he normally does but he would have to be careful cus i have no doubt witter could take him out. i still make ricky a firm favourite though

how many more excuses does hatton's camp need i don’t like to say that fighters dodge each other but really its the fight that makes the most sense for hatton now. If this was any other fighter there would be a lot more threads about hatton dodging witter. He should just fight him this year or admit that he doesn’t want to fight. I have never heard of a fighter use the excuse that he doesn’t like the other fighter normally that makes them want the fight more its very weird.

Hatton should be fighting at Light Welter, and at Light Welter there's no bigger fight for him than Witter. If he's carrying on then it's the biggest fight at the moment in time. It'd be nice for him to fight in his own country for once and all.

This is the fight that we as fans want, ricky always claims he's for his fans and no discredit to him but 20,000 ricky hatton fans followed him out to the usa now it his time to return the favour and give us a superfight in the uk... Witter's been calling hatton out since day, and hatton as always ignored this matchup... Hatton's returning to LW... Witter is WBC champion at LW on paper this is the ideal fight to prove he still is number one at LW.

But in all seriousness Witter is to much of a risk coming ofF the defeat to FMJ.. possibly career ending of he was to lose..

Why has Witter not had a unification fight yet? He should be going after Paulie and the winner would force Hattons' hand owning 2/3 of the major titles. If both Malinaggi and Witter want Hatton they should earn it by fighting each other first.
