So if FLoyd keeps making excuses to dodge it - he's bored, he's tired of boxng, not enough money, Cotto knows he can't beat me, Cotto's not ready for me yet, etc etc. - do you beleive Floyd or is he actually a coward who is fraid of Cotto.

To Floyd defenders. Will you let Floyd off the hook if he tries to duck Cotto in 08? Or will you be suspect of his true motives for eluding Cotto?
Listen man, if we talk boxing, Cotto is not a smart fight for PBF. Cotto really has nothing to lose in a fight w/ PBF, since PBF is consider the best p4p fighter. Now, PBF has a lot to lose since he is in his prime, and if he loses nobody can use the age excuse, because he is not that old. Out of all the WW's I think Cotto is the one w/ the better chance of beating him. Winning this fight means a lot for Cotto, because he'll get the well deserved respect from the American fans, that still don't give him the credit he deserves. I'm not saying he will beat PBF, but after seeing the Mosley fight, I believe he will give us the best fight anyone can have against Mayweather. I think PBF, knows this, but i don't think he is a coward for not taking the fight, he is just protecting his future and a fight with Cotto can threaten his health.

koing the 4 to 1 underdog hatton and retiring afterwards its not gonna make him an all time great
floyd never said he was retiring. he words were "i need a break". hell, give the man time if he wants to take a break so be it. boxing isnt the only thing he has going on in his life like most fighters. he does have other business ventures. taking time off doesnt make you a coward.

No man, i think hatton was scarier than cotto. so if he doesn't fight cotto, it just means he doesn't want to fight cuz he has done all hee needed to do...Cotto vs Hatton should be good though, and I am pretty sure Hatton will upset Cotto since Cotto's chin is thin glass.

Cotto is a very good fighter but I don't think he is ready for Floyd. SSM gave him all he can handle and then some. PBF is at the top of his game and everyone wants to see him lose, mainly because of his ****y attitude. Cotto is not that guy RIGHT NOW. I think PBF figures Cotto out even faster than he did Hatton. He probably wont KO him but he will be battered.

Anyone that truly believes Cotto will beat Mayweather, sounds like Hattons fans before that fight. I think Floyd is going to give it a little time to build up to a bigger pay day. If he never fights Cotto, I wouldn't call Floyd a coward because I think he really does feel he can beat Cotto. I see Floyd winning an easy decision over Cotto, with the fight not living up to the hype. IMO

stop smoking crack please Floyd couldnt even convincingly beat anD OLD INACTIVE , ONE FIGHT IN THREE YEARS HAVING ODLH...what would he do against Cotto.??
