Styles make fights, and I think Hatton was the toughest fight out there for Mayweather. Cotto couldn't even convincingly beat an old Shane Mosley (who is still good but not prime), how the hell is he going to beat a prime Floyd Mayweather? Anyone that truly believes Cotto will beat Mayweather, sounds like Hattons fans before that fight. I think Floyd is going to give it a little time to build up to a bigger pay day. If he never fights Cotto, I wouldn't call Floyd a coward because I think he really does feel he can beat Cotto. I see Floyd winning an easy decision over Cotto, with the fight not living up to the hype. IMO

So if FLoyd keeps making excuses to dodge it - he's bored, he's tired of boxng, not enough money, Cotto knows he can't beat me, Cotto's not ready for me yet, etc etc. - do you beleive Floyd or is he actually a coward who is fraid of Cotto.

To Floyd defenders. Will you let Floyd off the hook if he tries to duck Cotto in 08? Or will you be suspect of his true motives for eluding Cotto?

I respect cotto he came along way but floyd is the man to beat. Yes floyd is highly confindent he even talks alot but you can't deny him his due. the name of the game is simple it's getting paid. Floyd is at a sage of his career where he does'nt have to fight for glory no more of course a fight between cotto an mayweather is what everybody wants to see who would'nt? it will be another lenord/duran it will be the perfect super fight for 08. It will get fight of the year then the winner of the fight will see the winner of paul williams/kermitt centron

Why dont the haters who are obsessed with Floyd give the guy a break. Hes fought Baldomir for the REAL WW title, Future HOF Oscar, & the undefeated Hatton in a 13 month span. Let him a take a break. He has established a history of making the biggest fights happen sooner or later.

floyd needs to fight a top welter and cotto is the most logical choice being him the bigger draw if he ducks the challenge of fighting a top welter hes a coward
koing the 4 to 1 underdog hatton and retiring afterwards its not gonna make him an all time great

                  Floyd is a coward.

He will never step in the ring with Cotto.
