This thread is lame and so is threadstarter. Seems a bit bitter.

Excellent stuff. This is why I love this place sometimes.

I think the highlight was when someone said Tarver was P4P top 10 at one point.

Not a bad post but there's a few things I'd like to point out related to Nard's "Legendary" status as espoused by his fans:

Again, WOW, lost to a legend, Roy Jones jr. No shame there.
Yes he did lose to a great fighter. But the OP was not addressing the loss specifically, he was addressing the fact that fans of Bernard will often list the Roy Jones Jr fight as an accomplishment: "Calzaghe has never been in with anyone of the caliber of a prime Roy Jones Junior, unlike Hopkins!" Uh, yeah. But he lost...

you cant fault hopkins for starying at Middleweight, cleaning up the division and beating whoever they faced in front of them.
But you can fault Joe Calzaghe for doing the same eight pounds north of there?

Weight drained? Where's the proof of that? lol, Tarver at the time was ranked P4P top 10.
According to whom? Max Kellerman as himself in the Rocky movie?

Now do the same thing with Calzaghe's resume. I might recognize 3 or 4 names on there, that Manfredo win was HUGE!
Yeah Manfredo could never compete with the likes of Howard Eastman or Carl Daniels!

The point being that Calzaghe gets a lot of stick for a less than stellar resume, but he's done the same thing that Hopkins has done.

Haha, this thread is too true. People say Calzaghes resume is **** but B-Hops is worse and even Roy Jones Jr's resume is ****.

If this is true for Hopkins, my question is what is Calzaghe then... Hopkins has fought stellar comp.. and **** the excuses about weigth thats so sub-****ing-par if you can make the weight and choose to fight at a certain level and get KTFO your bad, Hopkins evolved into greatness and may have started the legacy with the Tito win, but his cementing it by fighting on at 43 even after loseing twie... **** YOU HATERZ

Someone use Anorak's method to sum up Joe Calslappy quickly... so we can all see how much below Bernard's status the one good fighter from the UK is

Bernard beating Tito, Oscar, Tarver & Winky > Calzaghe beating Kessler, Lacy, Manfredo and moving on to fight a 43 year old B-Hop.

                    LMAO

One of the best threads in BS history.

Hopkins has always been a fraud. He never was a top fighter.
