floyd knows margarito would beat him to. there is no other reason he would turn down the biggest payday of his life if he thought tihs would be an easy fight. he has seen what one flush shot from margarito can do.

Can't really blame Mayweather for not making the fight as it was a dangerous fight that might have messed up his chance at a big money DLH match. People complain a lot about Floyd ducking this and that but the truth is Margarito was the only fighter Floyd openly ducked in his career. He was calling Tsyzu's people trying to make a match but Kostya was just coming off of surgery. He then tried to fight Spinks but finally had to settle for Baldomir because the HBO deadline was nearing. Despite what all the haters say Floyd obviously saw something in Margarito that made him a threat to his style because I couldn't see him turning down matches with Bruseles, Gatti, Mitchell or Judah for even half that much.

Other than Williams, Margarito has the best chance out of all the welters at the upset. Cotto just doesn't have the physical size or chin to bother PBF so I definitely will expect Mayweather to fight him next some time in 2008.
