    He's something special.
i agree. hes a complete fighter.. fast hands.. takes a good punch.. i dont think hes as slick because he does get hit a bit more but other than that hes the future..

He gets hit a bit more because he isn't afraid to stand toe to toe, if he wanted to stay on the defensive all night I doubt he'd get hit much at all.

And that's why I don't think he'll have the same reign as Mayweather. Plus he's relatively old (though he isn't showing it yet) in a young division.

Sure, Guzman will do his dancing and running around making Valero look "foolish" (i think Guzman is the one who looks foolish when he does these things) but hes bound to get hit, so Valero definately has a shot.
Soto is a good pure boxer himself. Valero is reckless, swings wild, and throws haye makers so he would get countered night. and i think that Valeros power is a bit overated. anyone could knock out bums. Once he steps up and compete with the elite, i don't think he will knockout everyone that he touches. you are right about Valero having a punchers chance because anything could happen in a ring but, a smart bet would be Guzman IMO

That's true, but he does have one of the better amateur records in the history of boxing when it comes to numbers.

If he'd spent less time as an amateur and more time as a pro, he'd no doubt be one of the best fighters today.

I've always said guzman would box circles around valero, however I just don't know if Guzman is the same fighter he was a few years ago.

Based on his past two fights, guzman seems to have lost a step or two.

This this this. The Guzman that beat Barrios, beats Valero. The guzman at 135, doesn't.
