people think that All cotto has to do is to get a fight with mayweather and win and he will be great.. nall it doesnt work that way...

If ricky Hatton beat Pacquaio is he now the p4p#1 fighter in the sport?
    Hell no!

I never see Cotto fans demanding Cotto go fight Wiliams,Clottey, or moved up divisions to accomplish greater things... I never see them asking them fighter to put in work... never.. they expect 1 fight to do it all for cotto..and it doesnt work like that and never has..

    Did it work Vernon Forrest??
Did it work for buster douglas??

    You see my point?
I see what you're saying, but you're profiling. I want to see Cotto fight all the top Welters, I always said(before Tony lost to Shane) that if Cotto beat Tony in a rematch and didn't fight Paul I'd be pissed. Yes, I think Cotto needs to clean out his division.

Going up in divisions would be tough though because of his body type. Mayweather was fairly tall and very long so it was easier for him to go up in weight ya know? Cotto's a small welter weight with a very short reach. Imagine him at Middleweight? That would be crazy, him an his 68 inch reach would never survive.

For Cotto to really be considered great he needs to clear out his division, I agree with that. But I think his size and body type kind of prevent him from being successful going up in weight.

?? Horus, you mean like DLH handed Mayweather his "greatness?

You are seriously reaching now. So... Mayweather won't fight Cotto cause this would assist Cotto in becoming "great?" Isn't this known as "hatin" in your hood?

Is Floyd tryin to keep Cotto from shining?

Yo, this is the fight game, not Americas top model. You celebrate Floyd's feminine intentions, of not fighting Cotto to keep him down as if this is cool?
It's gay. What if DLH had the same mindset? You would have no hero. Floyd who??

Floyd is only a household name because DLH gave him a fight/shot. Don't get it twisted like America was lovin Mayweather. He fought boring ass fights with sub par opponents. Couldn't fill seats in his home town. FACT. Did Cotto say to Margarito "You need to build your fanbase...." Come on now, you are making excuses for a *** now.

Cotto does NOT need Mayweather. Have you noticed?? We don't give a ****. So let Mayweather stay retired, or let him fight Ricky Hatton 5 more times.

Maybe Baldomir will challenge FLoyd again.

Remind me again when your boy did ANY of these things? Cotto is carving out his own peice of history by taking on the best. If he never becomes an all time great, thats fine. At least he's got the balls to fight the toughest fights.

So why didnt he fight paul williams for the wba belt?
When Paul Williams call him out 100000 times???
why did he wait until Paul williams vacanted the belt then decided to fight for a vacant title.?

if he got the balls to fight the toughest fights why is he not fighting Clottey right now for his belt instead of fighting for a another vacant belt???
Clottey wanted the fight so what happen???

If cotto was all about challenges I should not even be to say why hasnt he beat a champion for his belt yet?

He is a 5 time vacant belt champion..is that what you are proud of???

Hold your fighter to higher standards...!
          Make him get a legacy..!!
You boy is still fighting for vacant titles after 33 fights and you still talking ****..

          think about that

Call yourself the exception to the rule.
If all cotto fans were like you cotto would probably try to become a greater fighter.

Going up in divisions would be tough though because of his body type.
James Kirkland and Miguel Cotto are about the same size and reach. So your telling me Kirkland has more ability to fight at a higher weight than Cotto?

Size doesnt win fights skills win fights. Pacquaio and Mayweather prove that all the time. basically your saying cotto is a 1 division type of fighter?

Yes, I think Cotto needs to clean out his division.

Why is he not fighting Clottey instead of jennings then?
or Williams instead of jennings....Bith fighters were availble before this fight was made...

Cotto to me is another fernando vargas.

8 years and 33 fights what is his greatest accomplishments?

I don't know. Why didn't Floyd fight Margarito, Cotto, or Williams?

Clottey wanted the fight so what happen???
Maybe he's pulling a Mayweather and wants the fight to build, for Clottey to get a fanbase first. Maybe he thinks all the other top fighters should knock each other off before getting a shot at him. Who says it won't happen in the near future. After all, I don't hear Cotto talking about retirement, don you?

If cotto was all about challenges I should not even be to say why hasnt he beat a champion for his belt yet?
If Floyd weren't all about money why did he never unify a division?

He is a 5 time vacant belt champion..is that what you are proud of???
And Floyd is a 5 time titlist who refused to fight the best at the peak of his popularity. Are you proud of that?

Hold your fighter to higher standards...!

You've got Floyds **** crammed so far down your throat you think every fighter has to be like him or they aren't doing ****. Think about that.

Now go rinse your mouth and brush your teeth.

It's going to happen folks. Cotto has got a pelt with his win over Moseley.
Mayweather and Hatton got 1.5 million PPV buys.
The money will be there. Mayweather ducking Cotto?
                    Nope.

Cotto better start ducking lead rights and his own fair share of body shots when this fight goes down.
Probably entertaining for about 5 rounds or so...
And then Mayweather just starts to break Cotto down.
Just calling it how I see it.
