I respect Hatton too. And I can see why Hatton might have garnered Mexicos support.
But sometimes, you got to fight with your HEAD and not your balls.
For all the **** that Mayweather gets, he is one of the smartest fighters I have seen. His boxing I.Q. is MENSA status.
Anybody that steps into the ring has got brass balls. Mayweathers style may not suit some on here, but the results don't lie. Mayweather, Hatton, ****, ANYBODY that puts on the gloves, fights in front of thousands of people at ring side, and millions watching from a T.V. deserves respect.
Thats what I never got. Why people would hate Mayweather for putting it all on the line, when there is a real chance you can get KILLED when world class boxers fight. Death. It happens.
    So Mayweather isn't a *****, JCC isn't a *****, and Hatton isn't a *****. They all get my respect as fighters.
But Mayweather still beats JCC at 140. LOL...

How many of you guys actually watched JCC in his prime? How could Mayweather possibly hurt him? He couldn't plain and simple. Mayweather might win a decision if he ran the whole time. But most likely he'd get caught and hurt. Mayweather's a great fighter coming off a very impressive win, but at the end of the day you need to be able to hurt the guy for him to respect you and Mayweather couldn't hurt Chavez with a hammer.

If Mayweather is so great, then i don't think he should be doing all that running on defence. Look at my sig, Chavez coming forward and dodging punchs, then he'll set himself up to go on offense, know when's the last time we seen Floyd do that? Wilfredo Benitez was a ****en genious as standing in front of you and making you miss, yet floyds defence is so great? He's uses his legs, its easier to run, then to dodge a punch while being right in front of your opponet.

When you're at a certain level, there is little to no fear. Mayweather still fights the way he does cause he doesn't fight consitant enough to forget about the pain.

Is that the best you can do?
Mayweather is scared of the PAIN?
          Are you ****ing SERIOUS?
It's not running. It's not chicken ****. It's called BOXING. The art of hitting your opponent with out getting hit. Base terms.
Of course people want a slug fest, head to head, "BLOOD AND GUTS WARRIOR" Jim Lampley type of ****.
          But those muthaphuckas don't count.
I like to see a brawl as much as the next man.
But I like to see a tactician peel off a muthaphuckas gameplan much more.
          Thats how I roll.
If you want K.O's, watch Tyson highlights.
If you want to watch clinics, Sweet Pea, Hopkins, Calzaghe, Armstong, are all on the interwebs.

Only Armstrong i'd watch, the rest "clinics" as you put it most of those fighters are boring to watch, especially when they are winning - Calzaghe can be fun to watch no always though.

Now, if you want to watch a clinic, a great defensive fighter of all time, then you watch Wilfredo Benitez, plus, he's entertaining.

Benitez was a great one to watch.
I see what your saying about a boring fight.
But I appreciate the things that some fighters do that you might call boring
                Thats me.
Ferocity, I might disagree with you on some things.
But I respect your agreement to disagree with me.

I think we just differ in what boxing style is borring or not. But even the greatest boxers could make interesting matchs. Like i've mentioned i wouldn't mind seeing Spinks v. Mayweather just to see how it would play out, I think Mayweather would win but Spinks is almost a mirror image of floyd.

If you think that a 24 yearold Mayweather, in his 23rd professional fight, was at the peak of his physical capabilities and had enough experience to be considered "prime", then you're not as smart as I initially thought you were.

                      Hopefully this is a misunderstanding.

Hypothetically speaking, if Floyd were to stay at 135 throughout most of his career, would you not agree that a 2006 lightweight version of Floyd would be a more polished fighter with more experience than the 2002 lightweight version of Floyd? Not to mention it would probably be a lot thicker and stronger than he was.
I just typed out a long response, but I accidentally hit some gay ass back button and lost everything because I have a hard time typing with a cast, but I'll see if I can't get up the motivation to re-do that post some time tomorrow.
