The guy is heavy handed, but he's nothing close to a DEVESTATING puncher. Kermit Cintron, Kelly Pavlik, and Klitschko are all DEVESTATING punchers, they call all hurt guys with glancing blows.

The only reason Valero is hurting and stopping guys is because he has heavy hands and he trhows punch after punch after punch.

Ive seen fights where Valero has threw a right hook and his opponents are out cold for a few minutes,he really is a devestating puncher
Your saying Cintron is a DEVESTATING puncher,but who has he fought? the only devestating punch i seen him land was on Matthyse,Matthyse just got knocked out even worse in his latest fight against Sebastian Lujan,check youtube,he was completely out,they needed medics,who else has Kermit knocked out in devestating fashion?
He landed flush shot after flush shot on Jesse Feliciano who got KOd in four by light hitting Demetrius Hopkins and in 1 round by Mike Arnaoutis,if Edwin was to land that much punches on a guy of Felicianos level,he would have him out,possibly even injure him

Ya right, cause they all have 19 first round KO streaks like Valero? I can understand you saying maybe his power will be overrated once he fights the likes of Marquez or Pacquiao, but theres no denying his raw power against average opponents. Some guys have never been knocked out previously until facing him. And actually, some guys like Pavlik you mention, they are later finishes where accumulation adds up. Not so many early ****ers.

mosquera was world class...i dont like valero that much to be honest but seriously, he beat mosquera only because he has power, so yeah, he hits very hard.....

I seen the fight. I though Mosquera wasnt that smart with himself and notice how Valero wins his fight.

He basicly does to things:
1- He put his right hand covering his oppenet face as well as use the reach advantage
2- He punchs with his left and jumps with it.

mosquera is 3 times better than anyone cintron has beaten, let alone KO'd with one punch....kelly pavlik helps himself with accumulation...

You see, before my Unit was sent down range, we trained on many aspects. One was Hand-to-Hand" combat. This dude that was instructing...was 5' 7" and weighed 150lbs, soaking wet, with rocks in his pockets! I'll put it this way...you remember Mr Spock (Star Trek) and how he just squeezing over the shoulder, and dudes would melt? Well, "THAT" is all BS, but this dude instructing knew some things that no matter how big, strong a man is, getting hit in a certain spot will indeed make a man crumble to his knees!

I got no shame in tell you that this person made me "TAP OUT" infront of everybody, and I almost fainted cause that cross arm bar was cutting off my blood circulation.
