I want to clear Something Up in this Thread....

I didn't say all Mexican FIGHTERS....

I was talking about Mexican Fighters who call themselves, or identify themselves as Warriors...

Because As we Know All Mexicans Fighters are not Warriors...

Humberto Soto for example is no Warrior..., he is a boxer...
This question is pointed at the fighters who identify themselves as Warriors

      Julio C.Chavez, Margarito, Morralles,etc....

and if you dont take Punishment to give Punishment, you are a Runner...!
and their fans agree with that....

So basically in other not to be a runner do you have to take Punishment to give Punishment....?

      Theory:

So when they fight a fighter who dont take Punishment to give Punishment... Instead Avoid Punishment to give Punishment

This explains the reason why they tend to called them runners....[/B]

and I think it coralates down to their fans, because than their fans called them runners...

      But is that smart...?

Looking at the history of past fighters...., such as Ali, and Hearns, and thousands of other fighters....

My belief would be if you dont want to hand serious health problems in the future.... You should avoid as much Punishment as possible, and give as punishment as possible...

      Therefore

taking Punishment to give Punishment is probably the dumbest thing you could do as a fighter..

Am i wrong to have that belief..?

God you should have said that sooner.

I don't know why you had to add Mexican to the title though.

I'm pretty sure anything you say about a Mexican warrior can be said about Michael Katsidis and the young Arturo Gatti as well.

hypothetically speaking. what if you just can't get out of the way because you're a fat 5'10 250 lb. samoan dude who lost your chance at being a heavyweight champ because you put on 40 lbs. more than your ideal weight? i'm speaking hypothetically of course. i'm not really talking about any boxer in particular.

if he gets hit is it dumb or brave?

I think he is neither. It's not like he has a ****ing choice in how he fights.

Hypothetical Boxer probably isn't going to pull out his Larry Holmes jab and box his way to a decision I don't think, so... I think he is actually intelligent to do the only thing he can to have even a remote chance of winning.

Brave. At 5'10 he is probably gonna have to walk through some of his opponents punches in order to land a big left hook.

Mexicans who can avoid getting hit try to do so. Just look at Fernando Montiel and Martin CAstillo.

Most Mexicans though, are too slow to avoid quicker boxers and thus they must take one to give one.

Get it trew your head thats what the fans like to see, Yes their are some fans as yourself that like the Sweet science but most fans want to see Wars not Chess mathces, Why do you think The UFC blew up so quick? because they're fights are short and most likely a knock out, some People dont want to sit around for 12 long rounds watching 2 fighters running around the ring been over defensive not wanting to get hit, We need more fights like Pavlik vs Miranda and Vasquez vs Marquez so that we stay as the #1 fighting sport!
