I think Cotto has more skills and abilities in areas that Floyd doesnt and Floyd has more skills and ability in areas that Cotto doesnt, Skill is not just the art of hit and dont get hit, it takes skill to sit in the pocket and trade and test your will against another mans will some fighters are better at doing that than others, while some fighters like Floyd can box your ****ing ears off make you miss constantly make you pay and drive you up the ****ing wall.Comment

No, this is Boxing and brawling is part of that. This sport wouldn't be what it is today without fighters like Ali, Leonard, Robinson who did both. I'm not understanding why it is so black and white with you. I'm not trying to disrespect you, but you seem intent on trying to convince others that you are either a brawler or a boxer and fighters like Joel Casamayor, Marco Antonio Barrera, Rafael Marquez would disagree with you.
Judging by the length of you're initial post, your willingness to disregard the great boxer/punchers of the past and current, it seems like your goal is to mislead and manipulate the history of the sport of Boxing just to fit your personal belief and agenda just because the majority of people and Boxing fans aren't too keen on Floyd's fighting style.
The funny aspect of this is, all you have to do is ask these people when Floyd ran? Did Floyd run from Corrales when he was sprawled on the canvas from a Floyd straight? Did he run against Oscar even though Floyd was against the ropes and Oscar couldn't land a goddamed thing? How exactly was Floyd running when his left hook sent Hatton to the corner?
These are all valid points that you could be making instead of cheapening the history and very thing that made Boxing the sport it is today by posting one sided propaganda.Comment

If pro boxing was primarily about points scored/punches landed, then the fighters would wear headgear. Period. Pro boxing is a culmination of the olympic sport of amateur boxing and fighting. The lines have become unfortunately vague between pro and amateur boxing today because the judges reward running. Mayweather would be a 2 loss fighter if they did not.Comment

Of course, you will read this and take it as me saying that "Boxers" are spineless not willing to man up. That is far from what I'm saying, but nostalgia doesn't favor the cautious, only the fierce.Comment
