Probably been said already in here, but i'll repeat it. The purpose of Boxing is to hit and not get hit. Every trainer will tell you that. But I guess some Boxing terms in these forums get ****d and will be used out of context. I suppose you can say a Hagler is a 'fighter' and a Mayweather JR. is a 'boxer'.

Yea, Manny Steward will tell you that. I know he will because Manny trained my pops for a while when he was up in Detroit with my Godfather Milton "Ice Man" McCroy and his brother Stevie who won the gold in 84...along with the countless amount of Champions that he has produced and trained.

well, manny steward has also said to his fighters, "Get the **** out there and take him out"

like ive said before, boxing wouldnt be the sport it is if fighters didnt take risks. it wouldnt be televised, it wouldnt generate money for the fighters or promoters. there is a reason why Floyd has to act a fool to sell a fight. Theres a reason Cory Spinks doesnt get prime TV spots. Its not about winning, its about HOW you win.

of course, there has to be a mix. i love watching Floyd outsmart every fighter he gets in the ring with, but i cant only watch fights like that. its like listening to hip hop to me. Ima rock some Hi-Tek and Atmosphere here and there but i need to mix it up with some Lil Keke and Young Jeezy.

Because they don't like him(majority), or they want to see him fight toe-to-toe.
