A boxer dodges a fighter because he can get equal money for a lesser opponent. Like a Roy Jones or even a young De La hoya because they could get paid and not put themselves at any risk. A guy doesn't dodge(and i don't care who you are) a fight that would pay you more than 4 times what you ever got before and risk not getting that fight again. doens't make any sense. Example, why would PBF risk fighting a Cotto or a P Williams or a Cintron or a Margarito(all true welters) when he could get paid the same money and fight a 140 guy moving up. Another one why would Oscar say he is coming down to 147 and get everyone fired up and then say he will fight either Pacman or Ricky there. Both NOT EVEN THERE YET!! Ricky looked bad in his first 147 so floyd picks him cuz of the safest fight for the money. This is when boxers dodge fighters. Not what Cintron did. The man got hurt and it happens in boxing and hopefully the fight will happen. just think about what dodging truely is......Comment

I agree. I also believe fighting Quintana and winning with a solid and dominant perforcemance will help to get bigger fights. For example, Cotto. Miguel can make him wait just as Floyd is doing with him. Same reason applies both ways. Become a bigger name before calling the best of the division. IMO, Paul Williams will get an unification chance before the end of the year. Cotto or Cintron will face Williams at some point at the end of the year. Specially with Floyd taking a long ass vacation. It would not surprise me if Williams unifies the Division, just like it would not surprise me to see Miguel Cotto doing it.Comment

please, watch the fights before you assume things. read the fight articles at least because you seem confused. there were rumors that he had a SORE hand. do you see Wlad, Calzaghe, Gatti, Ward, Toney, Holyfield, ect even flinch when thier hands is actually broke? hes a softy and if he cant fight with a SORE hand, this is the wrong sport to be in. after the fight, i checked *********.com and they said that he HURT his hand in the post fight celebration so, get YOUR facts straight.Comment

Naaaaah. He was getting owned at that point in the 10th anyway, especially on the judges scorecards. My point was/is Floyd was much more of a knockout puncher at 130, since then, not so much, and his chances of stopping a Williams, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey, etc are pretty damn slim. Hatton, who was almost KOd by Collazo in his only 147 fight, not any huge accomplishment for the world's #1 fighter.Comment

A 360 between the legs dunk and a lay-up are still worth two points.Comment
