    Which defeat was worse?

Hatton getting Ko'd in 10 by p4p champ Mayweather or
Hamed getting completely out boxed and losing on points to Barrera?

Hatton's defeat was worse because he's down with the working class bloke. Hamed was a jumped up **** who ran his mouth off and got what he deserved.

what do you mean by "worse"? who got beaten more badly, who was more humiliated, which defeat will have had the worst impact on career?

i think hamed's loss was worse as he came into the fight as either favourite or even and just didn't perform. hatton came into the fight as the big underdog and did all he could and really wasn't expected to win except by the most hardcore fans.

but then you could argue Hamed was expected to win. Hatton wasnt , i think if Hatton lost on points it wouldnt of been a bad thing for him at all but the first knock down was a bit embarrasing.

got to be Hamed, as he was completely out classed, we finally found out what many had said all a long and that was Hamed was over hyped, he was cruelly exposed, and he woke up to is own limited skills and never (really) fought again, well worth speaking of.
We will see Hatton again, but you will never see Hamed again and boxing is all the better for it.

It's hard to answer in terms of the effect on the fighter, but I suspect that Hamed's will have worked out to be more devastating because he left the game very soon afterwards. I reckon Hatton's loss will fire him up more and he'll come back strong from it.

Hamed was favourite, he was expected to win by everyone and he was just trounced. Hatton got caught a lot but he was expected to lose by most and despite the stoppage he was still trying to fight.
