Foe example. Roger said "stop moving away from him. You are hurting him inside". And that is when Floyd REALLY took over. Then Roger told Floyd "You are breaking that ho down".

What good counsel did Graham offer? "You can't afford to lose anymore rounds" is bad advice because it makes your fighter desperate. In fact, it isn't advice at all.
What was it that Uncle Roger said in the last 24/7, something like, "The only reason Rocky 1,2,3,4,5 and motha ****in 6 ever happened was because they were movies...something something something. I couldnt' stop laughing so I forgot.

Then he went on about, "Put a little Pepper, put a little Salt, heat that motha ****a up, burn baby burn."

Not exact words but close enough I hope.

Changing trainers is not the answer...just ask DLH. He brought in Floyd Sr and it did very little to improve his game. Fighters tend to stick to the original methods and techniques they were taught. I agree he should bring in someone in to show him other tricks of the trade, but firing Graham is crazy!

Wow! Talk about no loyalty! Ricky should not be looking for a "scape goat" but face reality. It would not have mattered if he had Billy Graham, Emmanuel Stewart, Buddy McGirt and Freedie Roach in his corner, the end result would have been the same...TKO.

I'm sure several of you British fans here would like this as many of you here are still searching hard for an excuse, mainly Joe Cortez.

I don't agree with that. I think that Floyd Sr did bring something different to De La Hoya. In my opinion there is no room for sentiment in boxing. If there is a trainer available that can add something that Graham can't then Hatton should employ him. It's not crazy, it's a professional attitude, and although i think that Billy Graham is very capable of getting Hatton in fighting shape, i honestly believe that he lacks something tactically & technically, and obviously that's important.

i agree 100% about Dela Hoya & Hatton

Oscar game did improve his defence improved a lot , watch how much better he performed against Mosley in the 2nd fight ,needless to say i thought he won that fight

as Franko said if it will improve Hatton as a fighter so be it ,

Hatton has a great style now that most others dont have, and he may lose that style's edge and move away from it if he changes trainers: see Tyson, Gatti

Hatton needs a little something new, maybe someone aiding in the training to teach Hatton some new tricks because he can't really adjust.

that's the only way a rematch would be any different
if hatton wanted a rematch but came back with the same
why would the result be any different ?
thats why its up to billy graham to
say 'ok ricky you need to bring in someone new
                      I taught you all I can '
if he wants a rematch he should go for it now
since the hype of the first one would make a second one
marketable , but only if there is something new
something to show the public that this rematch
                      woudl be any different ...
as for moving back down in weight
                      who knows what would happen
will hatton be up to fight anyone on a lower level now ?
also see what happened to Roy Jones
moving up and down in weight ...
hatton should ask for the rematch and get a new
trainer or co trainer ... if he comes with the same
floyd will knock him out even faster
but for hatton to go 10 rounds with
mayweather when he has a grade B trainer
                      says alot about his conditioning
but imagine him with someone in his corner
a world class trainer ... all those tricks
mayweather used, who taught them to him ?
Roger MAywaehter. .. Hatton + Billy GRaham
vs Floyd + Roger ... enuff said
when he was in a spot of bother in the ring
Billy gRaham had no real answers
billy graham just doesn't have the big fight
                      experience ...
