    Hatton must be dumb!!!

There is no reason to make that fight again, it was not a good showing for Hatton skillwise... Besides his team cannot have it both ways they claim he is no good at welter then he wants to fight the best one who just knocked him silly??? Time to play out your string at jr, he has a couple good fights then he should hang them up.. Nice guy but limited as a fighter.

If the fight went the full 12 rounds I doubt Hatton would even consider a rematch. I think its the fact that he lost a lot of pride getting knocked out like that.

Floyd will get killed for fighting Hatton again, he's already ducking Margarito, Cotto and Golden Johnson.

Rematch won't be happening.... It would make money, but it wouldn't make sense for either fighters... FMJ wants to be known as a hall of famer he needs to fight cotto (within next 6 - 12 months not after ****ing 24!)... Hatton wants to be a world champion again he needs to fight witter... yet pacman @ 140 sounds very interesting...

Floyd is already a hall of famer... like I told you guys before... Floyd is a 130 pounder, so he had to clean out that division which he did... that is his legacy... no boxer moved up 3 weight divisions and clean'd it out no boxer, they all did it for pay days and for the big fights... and that's what he's doing... DLH, Hatton and he will face Cotto... let Cotto become an even bigger name, he can do a lot in the next year and he has too... especially a better boxer... his foot movements hava to become better... becaus eit means ****, if your one of the best body punchers in the game... if you can't come close to your opponent... so Cotto now is not that ready, to fight Floyd... one year more for Cotto, one year more of quality opposition... and this is going to be huge... still Floyd wins... until Cotto shows me, better movement, and a better right hand... he has a jab, that's important against floyd... but when you move in with the jab you have to throw the right hand first... he has to improve that... because if he moves in with the jab and trys the left hook, it tooks way too long, and he will get knocked out... it's not about power, it's about accuracy... Ducking Margarito... you probably think that if Margarito puts Floyd against the rope like Hatton, that he beats him *lol* Hatton has very fast feet, good lateral ability, that's the reason why he could put him on the ropes... Margarito ain't got that... the Margarito fight would be similar to the Corrales fight, good puncher, no jab, not enough foot speed...

              About Cotto I talked before...

I don't want to be disrespectful but who is Golden Johnson??? I don't even know him... so I don't know how he could ducked him... I mean you could make a case that Floyd is ducking about 150 Boxers... because he's not fighting him... you could also make a case... that floyd already proven he is the best and only fights fighters who brings something to the table... Golden Johnson like I said never heard before... so I would argue that he's nowhere near the best in his division... same goes out to Margarito, just lost... again... YOu could make a case for Cotto... he's undefeated and should have a right to fight Mayweather... Margarito has no right, the same goes out to Golden Johnson

I know it sounds crazy. But i honestly believe Hatton could win in a rematch. It's even more crazy, because boxers against sluggers, traditionally, a slugger has won a fight, and the boxer wins a rematch... but i honestly believe Hatton could win a rematch here.

With a fair referee, at 140 perhaps, in England. Word is that HBO PPV buyrates were through the roof, Sky PPV buyrates were record breaking... If this happened in the UK it would be absolutely huge - the television companies would throw their backing behind it, and Floyd has always said if it makes money it makes sense.

Hatton, if he has a fair referee, and keeps his calm has a great chance of beating Floyd in a rematch.

                  crazy thoughts...

Anyone who honestly feels hatton could realistically win a rematch against mayweather is delusional. The man got knocked out fighting a style that wouldve given him his only chance to win the first go 'round (which was to pressure floyd from start to finish). There was no problem with hatton's conditioning nor was the ref much of a factor because both fighters were muggin' each other on the inside (to floyd's credit..many critics felt he couldnt win a war on the inside & that he'd "run" which if anybody knows boxing or has seen him fight would realize he never runs..he outboxes his opponents, uses a bit of foot movement to create new angles, uses his superior hand speed, is quite accurate & conservative w/ his punches, has exceptional defense whether inside or out,& is adept at making opponents miss & tire through wasted effort). I dont see where hatton's camp could do anything differently (hell what is he gonna do..try to outbox mayweather instead of applying pressure). As for cotto, he is everyone's hatton now. Initially, damn near everyone on boxing websites & chatrooms were clamoring for him to fight hatton & saying he was "duckin" hatton. Now it's cotto this & cotto that. Fighting miguel cotto will NOT alter floyd's legacy. Sure its a match up which pits two primere welterweights & top p4p fighters against each other..but mayweather doesnt NEED miguel on his resume. He's already acknowledged as the current p4p best & the purest boxer of his generation. Cotto who isnt even ranked in the top 5 of most p4p lists could however use floyd to catapult his career into super stardom. As for the proposed "duckin", that's bs b/c mayweather will fight whoever so long as the financial reward makes sense. Cotto, who much like hatton is a pressure fighter (but a bit more disciplined & slightly better skill-wise), couldnt beat a prime mayweather either IMO. Mosley gave cotto a run & even had him going backwards & on his toes more which is uncharacteristic of his straight-forward style. Cotto wont be able to outbox mayweather on the outside (like he did mosley in certain rds), nor will mayweather miss as much as mosley did with alot of his shots. Floyd has proven he can 'mix it up' and fight on the inside, has a damn good body attack himself, and has much more pop on his punches than most give him credit for. If he's offered another 20mil + for the fight, expect to see the boxing clinic reopened for business sometime in '08.

Hey Chip, yeah man that sounds crazy as hell to think he would win a rematch. It's also crazy to think Floyd would make that fight again. He got his shot and got KTFO (period).
