If you notice, alot of other whites are saying the same, yes its a double standard, bernard is taking advantage of it, what more do you want, for him to lose his boxing liscence, there isnt much more to do or say about it, he said what he said, bernard is getting a pass because we know hes the ultimate ******* when promoting fights.

i just dont think promoting a fight is an excuse to make a racist remark. i know its a double standard and thats bull****, but that doesnt mean that any intelligent person shouldnt be able to tell that it just isnt acceptable. im not gonna pretend i know how it feels like to be called a monkey or the n word. but i know how hard it is to console someone after they have. and im not saying that calling someone a white boy is equal to a moneky or the n word, but racism begets more racism, especially among ignorant people.

As is evident by this thread, Hopkins strategy is going according to plan.. It'll be interesting to see if he carries on with this "white boy" rhetoric in the build up and equally interesting to see how Calzaghe responds, if he fires back with anything similar. Already I saw an interview, here on boxing scene I think, where Calzaghe says towards the end "he won't beat the white warrior.. well i don't want to bring race into it." Looks like Hopkins is starting to get to Calzaghe already with this.
