I like Paul more than anyone, he would have made me some money had I bet because he hasn't let me down yet but don't fight Floyd, he has a better chance against Cotto, someone who will be MORE willing to take chances against him.. sorry for making such a long post, I hope you read it and can reply accordingly, I'm drunk and am going off, my bad.. 100

nah I ain't nuts homie, I'm talking the reach from the shoulder to the end of the fists, they both reach about 26", if not then Paul may have like half an inch or and inch and I'm going by HBO not by my own thoughts, **** is real homie do your math, wing span don't mean **** when you have a short, hardest to hit dude in front of you with the same or nearly the same reach as you.. I'm just saying. 100

hey No Brainer.. William's has a very very long reach.. Longer than any heavyweights out there.. Williams has 82 inches while Floyd has only 73 I think.. That's how Marg lost because on non stop jabbing and spacing.. Paul is also 6'1 or 6'2.. If you could imagine his size height and reach is for the heavyweight Division.. Paul will be the only one who will give problems for Floyd because I don't think Floyd can counter Paul if he uses his jab everytime.

If Floyd fought him like he did Chico, Floyd would win, no problems.
Cotto is an accumaltion puncher. Good power, yes, but no atom bombs.
I really don't see how Corrales and Cotto can even be compared defensively. Cotto has a strong D, I think it can hold up just aswell as Oscars did against Floyd. Plus if Floyd can't get his feet set and stamped into the ground, his punches are nothing to worry about. I mean when he was a lightweight, yeah..he can move and punch. But at this weight, I think he needs his feet set to land anything slightly hurtfull.

As for Cotto havin problems with jabs and uppercuts, I mean other then that one Zab uppercut, I really haven't seen Cotto threatened. Plus at this weight he seems to recover great, and even after being stung, he stay's strong for the entire 12.

Paul has a tendency to give away his Height advantage, he doesn't exactly hold it down on the height department thats how Tony was able to come off so strong towards the end of their fight, Paul is GOOD but against someone who will lure him into a fight(FLOYD!) while he himself is Boxing would be for a cat to bait a mouse, not too hard.. 100

again, it depends on what you believe to be more accurate. HBO stopped doing wingspan because they felt it wasnt an accurate account of your reach advantage because some guys are just much wider. They started just going by the arms length and Floyd is much longer then everyone from 130-140 and he is the same as alot of the big WW's, including Williams. Williams may have him but its only by a inch or 2. Now you can say that the wing span means more to you but thats up for debate.

I think it probally still favors Williams because its much easier to punch down then up because down is the way your arms hang anyway

Thats true about Williams. He's big but he doesnt fight big at all. Manny Steward always talks about how Paul bends and makes himself smaller because he leans forward. Thats why super short guys like Mitchell were able to hit him so much

you are a very good poster, this post reflects that because you gave Floyd his proper due while STILL acknowledging Williams, 5 for you.. 100

I cannot recall exactly what the date was, but I remember reading Floyd Sr. say Floyd Jr. knows how to fight tall fighters and doesn't mind fighting them.
It would be interesting to see what he thinks if they include Williams name in there or maybe this was talkled about with him, I don't remember.

But again, which Floyd, the Chico-Floyd or the Floyd now who throws less and doesn't move around as much.
