Anybody that wants Floyd, although he says he is on semi-retirement, he is at 147.
So why hasn't he fought a 147 pounder for over a year?

I think Cotto could present some real problems for Floyd as I do for alot of the other WW's because there just so huge. The bad thing for them is that you can see that Floyd is finally starting to fill out. He'll never be a real WW let alone a big one but he looks alot better now then he did against Baldy phyically when he looked like a flat board.

Against Cotto and pretty much all those guys it depends on how Floyd fights. If he pot shots then he will have trouble because those guys are so big that it wont bother them and they will keep coming but if he mixes it up with combos and sits down from time to time then I think he wins fairly comfortably because he's still the superior boxer and thinker

Paul Williams WONT beat Floyd, Floyd has the same reach as Paul so he wont be able to use that advantage on Floyd and for Floyd being the BEST counter puncher in the game with Miguel Cotto being a respectable 2nd I can see Floyd coming up from underneath and pop shotting his way to a UD, Paul is GOOD, I been screaming Punisher since before YOU even knew about him but on the real Floyd is too slick, he can only do that whole 100 punch rounds with someone who will stand there and take it unless he likes swinging at the air because Floyd will be on such a move that Paul wont know what to do, I like Paul more than I do others, I RESPECT him to the fullest, I would have made money had I bet on him in the Tony, I was popped so I couldn't but I KNOW his ability and I picked him to beat Tony, someone who will stand in front of him but with Floyd it wont be a fight, it will be a body shot fest, Paul is too tall and if he lunges down and goes toe to toe with Floyd we will see a MORE dominating performance by Floyd, if Paul uses his height he can maybe use his height and land his jab but the reach is no difference, if anything the height HELPS Floyd because he can duck LOW and make Paul come down and since they have EQUAL arm length Floyd will pop him.. I like Paul more than anyone, he would have made me some money had I bet because he hasn't let me down yet but don't fight Floyd, he has a better chance against Cotto, someone who will be MORE willing to take chances against him.. sorry for making such a long post, I hope you read it and can reply accordingly, I'm drunk and am going off, my bad.. 100

Well to be fair, everyone was saying that. Before the Zab fight he was just a good guy who was going to be great but not yet. The Zab fight is when everyone went crazy over him and it took him to the next level.

It's not proper form to start calling out a fighter when he is considering retirement or was retired, in Hatton's case when he called out Floyd.
People who do that are low lives to me. That is so lame, say a man is running from you after he states that he's retiring or taking a vacation, but when you had opportunities to fight him at 140 and call him out while he was still active, all his ass could ever say is the same lame line every time:

I never choose opponents. I never ask Bob (Arum). They always make the correct fights for me. I'm going to leave these things in their hands

            ^Or something always like that.

So you're saying Paul's shoulders are 10 inches wider than Floyds, since his wingspan is 82in vs 72 in?

Are you nuts?? Williams has about ten inches of reach on Mayweather. Williams has the same reach as Vitali Klitschko. About 81 or 82 inches.

If Hatton's amateur dive-in pressure can prevent Floyd from getting his feet set for the first 4 or 5 rounds, lol ****...Cotto sure as hell can do the same, but actually throw an elite set of punches in the process. Some heavy ass sets of body punches. And Cotto's hands at his face for defense, I bet will be just as strong as Oscar's. I don't see Floyd able to break that D with a significant amount of pot shots.
Jabs and Uppercuts seem to work against him and you can follow up with whatever you want behind those, straight punches/crosses and hooks if you like.

If Floyd fought him like he did Chico, Floyd would win, no problems.

Floyd may be fighting real smart now, but I don't know, I still don't like the lack of punching (from what he used to do), lack of jab, lack of combinations, lack of movement, going to the ropes more often, lack of will to take the fight and win from the start, etc. He is really reminding me of what Roy became, which is why I am calling him Floyd Jones Jr. for now. Yes, it could be the extra weight, brittle hands, and the way his mentality has changed for the sport, but if so, that is a sign of a change...for better or worse, I don't know, but he was better to watch then than now. Hatton fight was his best fight in recent years so I'll give him that, but Chico-Floyd would have taken him apart in my opinion since he would have been moving around popping the jab, throwing combos, etc.

Cotto is an accumaltion puncher. Good power, yes, but no atom bombs. Remember, Tszyu took out Judah with ONE punch to the chin, Cotto couldn't.

True, but I think Cotto wanted him all the way back then too lol

To be fair to the guy about the reach thing, I think he is right. I think it was either the same or Williams had like 2 inches on him. Remember, they only do it by the arms now and Floyd has much longer arms then anyone from like 130-140 and even the same length as long guys like Margarito if I remember correct. They show it on HBO for all the fights. Floyd has longer arms then you think and I do remember it being the same or just a bit shorter then Williams
