I bet even Chagaev-Klitschko would still be HBO, I don't think Chagaev has ever been televised in the US and his next fight isn't going to be either. Downside to havin East Euro fighters up in the mix.

So the current version of Wladimir Klitschko is mediocre?

Eastern Europeans are gonna be dominating for a very long time, get used to it. It's tough for Americans to promote a Showtime/HBO PPV with Eastern Europeans fighting eachother because Americans are nationalist morons and they are predjudiced against Foreign fighters(This dosen't apply to all Americans). Ibragimov only had 2 PPV's because he was fighting American HW's Holyfield and Briggs. I think once Wlad is the undisputed champ he will get some PPV's. Wlad is gonna get a huge American following after he brutally KO's Ibragimov at MSG on American soil.

Unfortunately for Wladimir he hasn’t had any ‘superfights’ and thus no ppv. Also, the last hw ppv was the Vitali-Danny Williams fight which btw, totally bombed and lost money. HBO has surely been influenced by that..

I will never pay for a Heavyweight PPV.

            Heavyweights are extinct.

Its all about 175 and under.

Ibrigamov had those 2 ppv's because hbo/showtime were not willing to shell out the money to televise those fights, and rightfully so, neither of those matchups were really any good. Wlad is never going to get a huge american following, the only person thats ever going to have an american following in the heavyweight division is someone who can carry it by beating other contenders who are highly rated and have hype behind them. Its like Kayjay said, everytime a heavyweight gets on a good streak, somehow he manages to lose, this happened to Wlad a couple of times which stifled what popularity he could have had in the first place.

I think you would rather blame **** on ****** nationalistic americans as opposed to using your brain and thinking about how HBO only has so much money to budget for broadcasting fights, its like this, would you rather HBO pay for Mosley/Cotto Mayweather/Hatton, or Ibrigamov/Briggs, Chagaev/Valuev, the answer to that question is a no brainer.

Maskaev-Rahman was the last heavyweight HBO PPV

Ibragimov-Holyfield was the last heavyweight PPV

I believe that Wladimir has only been on the undercard of the Lewis-Grant fight, where he knocked out David Bostice, I think.

Heavyweight boxing is just too unpopular in America right now. The last two PPV heavyweight main events bombed HORRIBLY. It's gotten so bad that heavyweight title fights are hardly even televised in America anymore. But I think a Wladimir fight would do much better than Rahman v. Maskaev II and Vitali v. Bloated Brit Williams.

America does not watch unamerican, I think we can all agree to that.

So, unless some bright mind hypes up one of these american prospects into something there won't be a ppv for Wlad.

Most of the "fans" are chewing their faces off as it is with the thought that the real best fighter in the world is not american.
