But I do agree, he can probably stop it now and change it up like Foreman did. He may have to anyway if he wants to get into promotion and other ventures. I hear he is teaming up with Mark Cuban for something...that will be interesting.
Yeah, he's a household name now and everyone knows him, he can drop the bad guy act, he doesn't need it to sell a fight anymore.

Just a question, when did foreman change it up, when he was selling the grills or in his 40s?

So let me get this straight... Floyd hasn't been doing his job fighting the best right?

      Let's see:

Judah... seen as a great fighter at the time, coming off a "fluke" loss to Baldomir (as it was seen), was just The Ring champion.

Baldomir... seen as an undeserving belt holder, who wasn't really that good.

Can we draw any comparisons to the list you put above?

I think Judah and Mosley are basically in the same boat (for Judah then and Mosley now) and Baldomir and Cintron are on the same level (considering there is "better" competition out there for Floyd than Kermit).

Margarito just came off of a loss to Williams. Beating Williams would be good enough I would think.

I agree with Cotto and Williams though.

But this is not the thread to discuss it.
I thought Hatton was hurt pretty badly in the 9th round, and if there was a round to clearly give to Mayweather, that would have been it. Whatever, are you actually the first Weebler who got banned?

if floyd were to fight and beat a) cotto b) another good WW or SW title holder and c) another name ....

then its hard to see anyone debating his inclusion of top 5 all time.

The big difference though is nobody on that list you named is great. We already know Margarito and Cintron is not great or going to be great. Cotto and Williams have potential but I don't know about them having the potential to be great. Mosley was never great but damn he just inches away from it. If he could have pulled out a victory over Winky Wright or Vernon Forrest I would say he was great.

I think Floyd should fight three more times and then retire. I agree with the thread starter, three more big wins would put him high up there.
