Calzaghe vs. Kessler... the double-edged sword

So, seriously, does anyone think 168 is the most boring division in boxing right now?

Who the **** can be considered good in that division besides Calzaghe? The undisputed #1 overwhelmingly decisioned the undisputed #2.

Everyone was dying for this fight to be made, and I'm glad it did, but now that boxing fans got the holy grail, what can possibly be done at 168?

We can have a badass 168 tournament (which has already started):

    Lacy UD Manfredo Jr.
    Kessler vs. Bika

Winners face each other on PPV... we can call it "Climbing back up the mountain"

    Blah.

weird statement by you when you said calzaghe is the only fighter there is, don't boxing fans want one 'undisputed 'champ ?? well i do.
      he beats everybody....
And that's the double edged sword... we do want an undisputed champion... but once it gets to that point, what the **** is there to look forward to?

Calzaghe vs. Kessler was a badass fight to look forward to, because it really was the fight to crown the king, but, seriously, who is Joe going to fight now that isn't going to be predicted to be an ultimate landslide victory for him? Lucian Bute? Doubt it.

I know you love Miranda dude, but a fight between Calzaghe and Miranda would make it seem like Calzaghe had a bad night against Jeff Lacy, compared to the most one-sided outclassing that is physically possible in boxing, being Calzaghe-Miranda.

i hate it when people compare lacy to miranda. lacy is so much slower...
there is absolutely no doubt in my mind , that if lacy fought mirande he would get Ko'd. especially the lacy of now.

You need to do some research bro, 168 is a great division and there are a ton of exciting matchups to be made. Here's a list of fighters from the Super Middleweight division.

            Joe Calzaghe
            Mikkel Kessler
            Lucian Bute
            Carl Froch
            Edison Miranda
            Allan Green
            Vitali Tsypko
            Anthony Mundine
            Jeff Lacy
            Librado Andrade
            Sakio Bika
            Dennis Inkin
            Jaidon Codrington
            Peter Manfredo
            etc.

Jermaine Taylor is moving up to 168 and Kelly Pavlik will also eventually move up. The Super Middleweight division is one of the strongest divisions in boxing.

I'm not comparing Miranda to Lacy...

Miranda is faster and is probably stronger.

You know what is ****ing sad though? Lacy is more technically solid than Miranda. God what a ****ing joke.

Ricardo Mayorga might be more technically solid than Miranda.

I'm pretty sure Joe has been around long enough to know how to avoid ridiculous street fight shots.

It's a ****ty division when the best matchups that can be made doesn't involve any belts (or at least legitimate ones, considering Bute won a belt that Calzaghe vacated).
