After mayweather knocked out hatton i expected to read the sunday paper the next day and see mayweather on the cover of the sports secition but guess what? they didnt mention his win over hatton AT ALL (not even one sentance...in fact you couldnt even tell the champ of 147 and 140 went at it). instead on the front cover of the sports section was a football team.

    they didnt make the news...

    nothing.

i live in the Bay Area of california and there wasnt one line of it in any local media.

anyone else notice this where they live?

    opinions?

    thanks.
It wasn't mentioned because mainstream US sports media America doesn't know who Hatton is. Besides, they expect to 'beat the Brits'.

any fight against a 160 pounder in either Pavlik or Taylor is ruled out and against Beranrd Hopkins because they are HUGE compared to Floyd. Pavlik would destroy him so would Taylor even if they are less skilled the power is just too much. Felix Sturm is his only bet at middle and even thats shaky one, actually wright at middle wouldn't be to bad still get beaten because wright is too big and can make a decent contest at 175 against B-hop.

and it gives the floyd fans another reason to boast (if their guy can beat another middleweight who is physically bigger and stronger than him...like when he beat de la hoya).

it should please both sides and get both sides excited.

i would be excited just to see his strategy unfold against either of these 2 bigger men...

its in floyd's weight range too if it occurs at 154...
no chance. Pavlik cannot ake 154 neither can Taylor as both have been struggling to make weight. IMO Pavlik at 160 would be able to punch through Floyds gloves the power to weight difference is just that much.

well i didnt mean at 160...that WOULD be a massacre on floyd...

i did mean at 154 because then its not like floyd hasnt been there before against de la hoya.

i wasnt aware they couldnt make 154...in that case...nevermind.

          sorrry bout that.
