SRR would be the answer to the above question (since you only frtamed it as faced, not beaten).

going up in weightclass is harder a bigger person saying in same weightclass draining himself.

another thing I think the WBC organization have something to do with it. Because if you seen Floyd record he mostly fight a person with WBC champion and he even dropped the IBF when he won Zab Judah.

As far as Floyd is talented getting a title shot one year does not only need talent but also some connection and sort of contract with WBC organization belt. It is like a commercial for the belts.

Same with Cotto going after the WBA belt

Great job, Cliff, and a nice tutorial for those whose immediate reaction is "BLASPHEMY!" whenever someone dares to favorably compare today's best with the stars of yesterday.

In a way, you were a one-man "Old Schook/Nu Skool" - except you're able to get your points across rather than feeling the need to scream them like Skip Clueless and Stephen A.Hole

floyd still need 2 fight shane &/r cotto. **** fighter x b/c everybody can b beat if they fight the right person. roy was on top til tarver. shane was on top til forrest. b-hop til taylor & so on. floyd i the only person i know that doesn't have manditory opponents. he nvr gets strip of his belts for not fighting. think about if ali r ray leonard would've said no im no fighting him b/c he aint a big name. floyd is a great fighter but the hand picking has 2 stop. lets make cotto a manditory r floyd lose his title.

I believe Floyd should fight cotto, but there's no doubt in my mind he will win by unanimous or by late round stoppage. Floyd has both height and reach advantage. He's by far more skilled and by far faster. I like cotto but he's slow, not as strong as ODLH, and has been knocked down a couple times at jrWW. The best thing for Floyd to do (which he probably will do) is wait until Cotto beats Margarito. At that point when Floyd fights and beats Cotto, in essense he would have beaten both Mosely and Margarito. There will be no denying floyd's greatness then.

Williams has already taken Margarito out of any picture, for now, at least.

                Cut the crap

Floyd has fought guys successfully from 130-154, on top of that he has not been a welterweight that long... Stop making a monument to fighters who have not accomplished half as much. Ie Cotto and all the other welters save legends like ODLH, Shane.... Floyd is not the one with something to prove.

                  Why Margarito????

Why are people actiong like Margarito was ever in a position to call shots!!! He has 0 economic value and on top of that, he has not proven that much. A fight like that is all risk no reward for PBF...

Why do fans care about risk/reward for fighters? Granted, it's a logical argument but still...isn't is also logical and preferable for champions to fight best available foes? (And as Marg goes, that applies to four years worth of pre-Floyd welters.
