That version of Hatton would have been taken out quicker. One of the reasons Hatton was able to last as long as he did was because he was on Floyd like a wet t-shirt. Give Floyd space, someone like Hatton is taken out. Same thing would have happened if he fought Tszyu like that. When space was between him and Tszyu, despite Kostya breathing hard by the mid-rounds, he was being outboxed.

Hatton needs to smother his opponents, at least the top fighters.

That would have been the funniest thing I had ever seen in boxing if after bending over in kiss my ass fashion Hatton raised his arms in victory and refused to fight with the "knob head" of a ref that calls himself Joe Cortez.

There is really is no other plan that what Ricky was doing. He just doesn't have the physical attributes to do anything else. He cant box from the outside, his arms are too short.
Not in America. You deal with it and you fight on. You don't quit.

Holyfield had his ear eaten by Tyson and Evander said "Bring that ***** on."

Let's be real, there was only one point deduction and that was from Hatton throwing Floyd between the ropes, then swinging towards the back of his head. That's a point deduction because it is not only illegal, it is very dangerous to hit behind the back of the head. All this was after warnings to both fighters.

If hatton fought like that it would of been mayweather gatti all over... hatton couldn't fight mayweather on the outside... he'd be cut to shreds by round 6

Hatton should of used the pressure but with more intelligence, in that video he was creating angles but against mayweather he just moved in straight lines.

Ricky was doing good early on fainting and moving his head as he came in. I think all the wrestling with a bigger guy drained him. He would've had a better chance coming in and out.

LMAO! if he did have this style against Floyd, he would have been beaten by wide UD or early KO. he gave that dude room to box but that fighter was a slow bum so he did nothing but stare at Hatton. that fighter was not even close to being elite. Floyd would have ate Hatton for lunch if Hatton came in hesitant and wide open like that.
