if ricky watched this vid n a couple of his early fights before the fight n kept his composure am sure he would hav gone the distance
This should have been rickys game plan

probably has something to do with him being shorter w/ no reach vs Floyd. Might affect strategy a little bit.Comment

great vid
Ricky displayed tremendous skills right there although his opponent didn't seem like he wanted to fight.
He actually feinted, something he rarely does now, he didn't go all crazy on his opponent, he kept his composure and attacked like a fox, he didn't even hold lol.
If he came with this approach towards Mayweather he would've done much better. Someone mentioned in a thread that the crowd worked against Hatton and sometimes I believe that. Hatton had too much pressure going into this fight, and it just kept building up which led to his downfall. I still believe that Hatton has right tools to beat Mayweather at 140 to say the least.Comment

Hatton has upped the tempo considerably. He's a lot better now, faster and stronger. He feinted against Floyd and had success doing it.Comment

His plan should have been quit after Cortez took the point away. Spared himself some damage and it would have earned him lots of fans.
That would have been the funniest thing I had ever seen in boxing if after bending over in kiss my ass fashion Hatton raised his arms in victory and refused to fight with the "knob head" of a ref that calls himself Joe Cortez.
There is really is no other plan that what Ricky was doing. He just doesn't have the physical attributes to do anything else. He cant box from the outside, his arms are too short.Comment

The irony of that poised Hatton performance is that Floyd might have been able to start quicker as opposed to bein thrown off ballance by Hattons early pressure.Comment
