Since Jones relies more on physical ability than actual boxing technique dont you give him a pass for losing at 35? He did get KTFO though...

Exactly, Roy relied more on amazing speed, agility and reflexes, for his defense. And at 35, those things diminish significantly.

Someone like George Foreman, that never had any speed to begin with was able to remain effective till almost 48.

Floyd relies on speed quite a bit too (though his defense is much more sound.) If he is still boxing at 35, which I doubt, he will not be the same fighter he is today.

LOL, no way he needs Calzaghe to surpass Floyd.

As someone said already, wins over Toney and Hopkins are quite a bit better than wins over Hatton and Corrales.

In my subjective opinion RRJ. In his prime there wasn't anyone near his level.

EDIT: i remember roys used to take some great shots, after heavyweight he couldn't handle the big punchs.

The floyd fans say floyd fights at differnt division if so he should have fought Hatton at 140 gotten a better win at 140 then his Arturo Gatti win at 140.

Prime for Prime, imo, Jones was more exciting. But later in Jones career he wasn't as exciting cause he did what floyd usally does and just box, but Jones at least was attacking more then what floyd usually does.
so because jones attacked more, he was better than floyd and to you, jones was more exciting? that's okay with me, i won't argue your opinion, but jones didn't have everything floyd had and more. jones didn't have as good a jab as floyd to the body or upstairs. jones didn't counter as good as floyd did off of the ropes or from inside the pocket. roy had more power, roy may have had faster faster hands, but floyd had better movement off of the ropes, fought better going backwards and more things i will mention in about 10 seconds when i make my post. stay tuned......

IMO Jones but Mayweather is close. Lennox Lewis is up there as well for me.

Jones because he is at a natural weight, being 160 is always better than weighing in at 130 no matter what achivements which FDloyd doesnt have meny other than beating Castillo and Corrales which JMM showed were beatable even if Casa was 37 years old. Beating De La Hoya isnt that big of deal compared to winning the Heaveyweight championship of the world.
