I think even Oscar and Barrara were taken aback by the refs showing, and when he took a point off ricky for punching the ropes, they were off there seats complaining.

The Hatton storm normally doesn't stop, but the shots he received on the break ups and indeed the odd elbow to the head were just too much to deal with.

Hatton normally takes them all the way with a ref that doesn't set him up repeatedly for hook to the head.

The only thing questionable to me was why pennalize Hatton for a rabbit punch when he didn't pennalize PBF for doing the same earlier on? But, he lost by KO, don't think that made much of a difference.

What about the elbow smashes, turning backs, holding and ducking to the ground?

Again, not blaming Floyd but the ref should have sorted this.

I don't even think it matters, Cortez probably did it because he thought Ricky was gonna be defiant to the end. As messy and tense as it was gettin in the ring, with the crowd goin nuts, he probably felt like he had to clean it up and get it in control. I don't know..

Actually Hatton and Malignaggi would make a good match up. That fight should definantly happen

It stopped in the Collazo fight man lol, Ricky almost ate canvas if he didnt hold on. If I remember correctly, thats the fight where he got the "Hugman" nick name.

But yeah, the Hatton storm doesn't stop if he's fighting guys that don't have anything to return.

You take that step up, and it's a completely different story.
