Could he have been more naive in that fight? ****ing kamikaze tactics by Hatton.

Anways, now some of the people on this forum, were seriously calling for Amir Khan Vs Floyd Mayweather next year, with a few people actually giving Amir a chance to win.

The latest story is that 'Khan is just as quick as mayweather, mayweather will be shot and therefore may give mayweather a harder fight than hatton'.

Just thought i'd let you guys know this.

What would you suggest he should have done, tried to outbox him at range? His tactics were sound (until he lost he head in the 6th) he was just beaten by a better fighter. End of.

a lot of amir khan fans aren't necessarily boxing fans. they're entire boxing knowledge comes from barry mcguigan and is then exagerated 100 fold.

i don't mind him myself and just wish the idiots would let him develop like any other prospect.

Khan is nowhere near Floyd's level at the moment and most likely will never be.

Yeah you're right, running in head first against the most accurate puncher in the sport was probably the best move after all. A few body punches would have been nice.

                Amir Khan would beat Mayweather

If they fought in about 10 years time.

saying kahn is as quick as mayweather aint a bad statement imo. there are boxers out there that are fast as him...

When's the last time you saw Floyd throw a combo like Juan Diaz?

Khan would get beaten by Mayweather right now, almost certainly by KO in the 6th or 7th round. But I'd say after 2 or 3 years his chances of giving Mayweather a tough test, and maybe even winning, would have increased dramatically. Right now this would be an outright mismatch purely based on Khans lack of experience. Its just like Hatton or De La Hoya would have been complete mismatches against Floyd if they had fought a prime Mayweather after only 15 pro fights. Same difference.
