Roy getting brutally knocked out, not once but twice removes him from that list for me. I mean getting knocked out by Glen Johnson? that would be like Floyd getting knocked out by someone like Clottey, just no excuse. It you could say it was at the end of his career, but hes still fighting so i think that has to exclude him. He was a great talent, but id take Floyd's accomplishments and perfect record anyday

so yeah has to be roy jones junior
the only reason he got knocked out later
was cos he had gone up to heavyweight

floyd just bullied a smaller fighter
            and is called 'great'

roy jones fought the heavyweight champ
stepped up to the higher weight division and won

that would be like floyd stepping up to fight hopkins
            and winning ...

how can floyd be great ? he hasn't fought mosley, trinidda
or any of the other fighters of that era ...tszyu ..
he fought an over the hill de la hoya
who threw the fight against hopkins
(most de lay hoya's fights with his golden boys
              are just boxing exhibitions ...)

Come on now, he fought John Ruiz, probably one of the weakest champions ever, I give more credit to James Toney for moving up and fighting real heavy weights even though he didnt win a belt, than Roy beating a "champion". Roy only went down so he wouldnt have to fight a real heavy and still got knocked out. Dont ever compare John Ruiz to Bernard Hopkins, get real. Floyd has won belts in five divisions and is still undefeated, is that not stepping up?

roy doesnt say stuff like im out for 24 months ! , he fought a HW champ , then came down immediately lost all that muscle mass..... roy isnt in his prime. if roy quit right after the ruiz bout . how would you think about him then? time will catch up to floyd too. but hes smart. he retires after every fight.i wouldnt be surprised if floyd never fought again. and hes like what ? 29 ? 30?
