Paul Williams and Carlos Quintana 20K Apart

The latest on Paul Williams (33-0, 24KOs) vs. Carlos Quintana (24-1, 19KOs) is more of the same. According to a recent report by Endi, Quintana is still unhappy with the amount of money being offered for the fight and has yet to sign a contract. The bout is slated to headline an HBO televised event on February 2. Quintana replaces IBF welterweight champ Kermit Cintron, who suffered a hand injury in his title defense against Jesse Feliciano on November 23. [details]

I have a feeling Williams is going to blow Quintana out. Maybe this is for the best.

This is a good test for Williams. We'll find out how he does against a good boxer.

And its a good test for Quintana, to see how he responds to high activity rates, and if he can box under that kind of action.

I expect a good somewhat technical boxing match

Williams can be hit and doesn't have the power to bully Quintana, I could see Williams by a UD but not a KO, not at all. Quintana has a good chance of pulling the upset.

It William also fight a southpaw.

Part of Williams advantage is his height with southpaw position that produce alot of spacing and pretty hard to come in or even pot shot.

I could see Quitant winning this with hard earned UD or even SD.

I still think he could make it to the top. He was the underdog more than once and he proved many people wrong when he beaten Joel Julio so it wont suprise he will do it again against Williams

He only lose came from Cotto which Cotto switch couple of times to confuse him and get the KO.

and I think he is pretty much underrated.

As for the money sitaution, accepting $20K for a big fight or even abit more means that he is taking the fight not for the money mostly but he knows that after winning Williams he is going to have the big money fight he alway wanted.

Why do you have a pic of Hatton's family after the fight??? You're a sadistic sick ****. I was happy as hell when Pavlik KO'd Taylor, but I didn't go posting a pic of Taylor's sad mother and wife after the fight, I felt bad for them.
