Is it foolish to take the advice of a legendary boxer who was the last man in the ring with your next opponent?

And that guy also happens to be your promoter with a vested interst in you winning?

Oscar just didnt realize that hes maybe on that much of a higher level than Ricky. Oscar has more skills and more size than Ricky which was a major factor. Floyd knew Ricky couldnt hurt him, yet he knew someone like Oscar could, which is the reason he was on his bike against Oscar and not Ricky. Floyd was able to stand toe to toe with Ricky because of size, I think the Hatton camp was sold on their own hype, which ended up being their downfall. Ricky is a bully fighter, anyone bigger than him and not afraid of his tactics or bullying, is always going to give him a tough fight.

I really don't think Mayweather truly has 'power' as it's more like he knows how to land a punch at the perfect spot.

The shot that Hatton took before he went 'stampedey charlie' on the ring post would put almost anyone down. It was more of the shock of the unexpecting punch as well with the placement of the punch..

not ripping on Mayweather by any means but I don't think he has power. I look at power punches being the ones that can come over with a right cross and literally punish their opponent.

Which might be the craziest idea in the history of boxing.

A rugged sparring partner..........yeah that's a good idea. As a mentor and whatnot that's borderline insane. Seems like a loose cannon situation when your trainer calls time in the middle of pad work and heads out back to smoke a cigarette, when he won't answer his phone because he's in bed hungover and has zero answers as to why he's not at the gym except for "esperate guey, me voy pa ya ahorita"
