There's nothing devaluing about Hatton with his wits about him.......walking straight forward trying to close the gap against Mayweather......and getting ****ing caught with a left hook flush on the face that sent him down and virtually out for the fight..........having lost his facilities.
The doc was checking Hatton after round 8. He clearly wasn't 100% and was trying to make up for the point the ref docked.

The knockout was devalued, Hatton rushed straight into it, Foyd was actually running out of a corner when he hit him and was shocked when he went down.

isnt this something...people complaing about Hatton being fouled in a big fight in which took place away from his home country. does this have the same storyline as Hatton/Tsyzu??? except people praised Hatton for being about to make Tsyzu quit on his stool, b/c he hit and held, wrestled, and fouled all night! and b/c the ref, supposedly, didnt let Hatton do that this fight, its showing bias???? so its ok for the ref to show bias when it for Hatton, but its not when its against him. seems like b4 the fight everyone was saying that Hatton would be the one roughousing that PBF would be runnin. but PBF turned the tables on hatton and surprised everyone by showing everyone he could "mix it up" when he has to. Hatton lost his style of fight to a better fighter. and thats it

its two separate fights. By the same token people criticised ricky for 'huggin and being rough' and then Floyd does it and its ok?

You know why it's ok and ethical to call you an idiot?

Because the times in the fight where the hugging became a factor...........Hatton tried to initiate it, and Mayweather retaliated by pushing him away with his forearms and whatnot. To me............hahahahha that's comedy because everyone talked about Hatton's "rough tactics" which would make the fight difficult for Mayweather.....and it ended up that Hatton was the one who was cut above the eye.........and had to endure the elbows in what was clearly a rougher than usual fight. Everyone makes such a big deal about fouls:

The first rule of boxing is to protect yourself at all times.

If you can't do that properly? then what? RETALIATE. I didn't see Hatton returning elbow strikes like Floyd was doing. It's a ****ing fight.

Says more about you than me.

Mayweather did ALL the hugging in the early rounds. Hatton merely leant in.

                    ,
and Mayweather retaliated by pushing him away with his forearms and whatnot. No one has a problem with that but the ref was on Ricky's back constantly and breaking them up constantly. Floyd got away with absolutely everything. No one is saying its Floyd's fault, but the ref wasn't even-handed.

It won't be forgotten by boxing analysts and fans alike.

                    Check his wikipedia:

                    Undefeated
Cortez has received widespread criticism for his handling of Undefeated, the bout between Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather Jr on December 8, 2007. Jim Watt has publicly attacked Joe Cortez for his "deplorable" performance. The thought is that Cortez was overly intrusive, and did not let the fighters get close to each other; a scenario that would have suited Ricky Hatton. Cortex then deducted Hatton a point in round 6 - the first of his professional career - for hitting on the back of the head. Cortez failed to see Mayweather ducking and almost trying to lever himself through the ropes. Hatton responded by turning his back on Floyd on the resumption. The su****ions of bias from English supporters was apparent, with sections of the crowd chanting "The referees a w**ker" throughout some of the rounds. Their ill-feeling towards Cortez was further exacerbated by Cortez posing for photos with Mayweather just moments after the fight.

what im saying is, u cant praise Hatton for doing it and claim that its just his "style"...then "devalue" PBF for doing the same thing against the master of it. if Hatton had outboxed PBF u wouold be gloating like hell
