I think Hopkins deserves alot of credit if he wins. For one, Calzaghe is a pound 4 pound fighter who many have said Hopkins has no chance against. Also Hopkins 43 years old.

So at 42 years of age, with deteriorating reflexes, you'd go right into the storm of Calzaghe's punches and risk your entire hall of fame career, just to prove to people you're a warrior? Hopkins is a smart fighter, just like Mayweather is a smart fighter. No need to risk anything you don't have to. Neither man will be truly respected until they both hang up the gloves.

I don't think anybody will question who he just beat if Hopkins beats him. I think this is the only forum that underrates Joe like this. If Hopkins beats him, which I can't see at all, it will be by far the biggest win of his career and will catipult him.

I'm telling you, if Hopkins beats Calzaghe, people will start in with "Hopkins should fight (whoever here) next.". Probably someone he has even less chance against, like a Dawson or a Pavlik. And Joe's not underrated around here, I'm one of very few outspoken critics of his that post here daily. Hell, just look up at the "Control Panel" picture and Calzaghe is there.
