Any reason for this? Its the Mecca of boxing, and he never had a fight there. Maybe he sold his soul to the devil, who told him that if he were to fight at MSG he would lose lol?
Mayweather has never fought at MSG....

Las Vegas seems to be the new mecca of boxing to be honest.
No answer for you though, I have no idea. -

Once upon a time, among the many beefs Floyd had w/ Arum was that he wasn't being marketed on the East Coast (particularly MSG, where Shane was becoming a major player), which he believed would've helped his Q-rating, as well as help establish his hip-hop label, rather than attempting to make it on the West Coast (and predominantly Hispanic, from a boxing perspective) market.
I take it Floyd's moving to Vegas changed that stance, not to mention the $30-40 million or so he's made in his last two fights. But I do agree, it's strange that he's never landed at the Garden. It's no longer the Mecca it once was (back when it didn't need to be called The Mecca - it just was), but Floyd's one of the few current US-based boxing superstar I can think of who's yet to play the Garden. He's easily the best known active fighter to have not fought there.Comment

Floyd is afraid to leave the safety and security of his hometown, Las Vegas. He'll never fight anywhere else. He likes the hometown judges like in Mayweather vs. Castillo I.Comment
