actually he's better then hearns, he's a better boxer and throws 3 times more punches a round, and unlike hearns he has a chin to go along with it. he also has way better angles and footwork
I stopped reading right there, and quite possibly the rest of your posts.

Williams beat Mitchell's ass all up and down the ring. He just didn't care about getting hit back. If he really wanted to keep him outside and box him up without taking too many hits, he could have. He fought that way because he wanted to, just like he did to that other kid on the Floyd/Baldomir (I think) undercard, Santos something or other.

Finally somebody sees what have been saying. Paul Williams is highly overrated. Yes he has physical features you don't see in a welter weight but at the sametime he has many wholes and is too young right now in knowledge of the fight game to use those physical features to the best of his advantage. He throws that many punches to hide his weaknesses. Williams puts nothing behind any of his punches and what the use in having such a great reach advantage if you going to have one of the laziest jabs in the business.

Paul Williams has a lot of potential but right now people are trying to make him bite off more than he can chew. Williams is not ready for PBF or any true elite fighter at 147, 154 or 160 right now. I mentioned those other weights because he has fought at a higher weight before.

tredh you're an idiot...he already beat margarito...with ease...a guy that would destroy cotto, mosley or DLH and give floyd all kinds of problems, that's why floyd refused to fight him...as for tommy hearns, when it's all said and done we'll see who is better

Maybe it is true that he was just focusing on offense against Mitchell, but is it not true that he got beat up in the late rounds against Margarito? Margarito doesn't exactly fight with the speed of either Cotto or Mayweather. If Margarito can connect against Williams, I would assume the faster and more accurate fighters in Cotto and Mayweather would have an offensive field day.

Mayweather's defense could easily take Williams's outwork strategy into deep water, and drown it... and Cotto didn't look too bad defensively himself against Sugar Shane.

              Hey everyone!

Apparantly Williams breezed through the Margarito fight.

It's not like he got his ass kicked in the late rounds, right?

And this is coming from someone who likes Williams, and absolutely ****ing detests Margarito.

Let's take away the physical advantages for a moment.

He still throws 100 plus a round. Has really good handspeed. And has shown sign of really good ring movement. He knows how to to put together punches in bunches. And he has a mean iside game where he gets off one of his best punches on the inside, which is the uppercut. Next we have his chin. This guy can take a hell of a shot. Watch the Margarito fight where Marg had one of his best rounds out of the 3 he won. He took his ****s and kept coming. Mind ou many labeled him as the most feared welter. Paul called him out and beat him like a man.

Now his last fight also showed his riing smarts. He either got out of there before Marg could let his hands go or he tied up. He stundted Marg's offense flat out. He showed he was a much smarter fighter. And Marg couldn't adapt. People are insane to say he's overrated, he's widely unkown. And is only praised on the internet at the moment.

I forgot what round maybe the 11th Marg landed his best punches of the fight and Williams tied up. And it was the smart thing to do. But after Marg would finish Williams would come right back. And in fact beat the crap out of Marg in the 12th (the most important round where a guy like Marg with experience should have prevailed).
