everyone is building hatton up to win and saying how much of a good guy he is and this and that and floyd is evil and is gonna get koed etc...
and then hatton loses and kinda acts like a poor sport and complains

but with that said i have alot of respect for hatton as a fighter he brought his A GAME and came to fight and put out a valiant effort
he just lost to the better man
i dont think anything he said was out of order,he said he got beat by the better man fair and square,he just thought the ref didnt help much breaking them up when they were in close, but floyd beat him and not the ref...i thought that a was a pretty fair assesment of the fight mate

well it is what it is..
i just thought i was funny to hear a boxer that thrives on clinching and rough house tactics to complain about what was done to him in the trenches.. but its whatever

im just glad it was a good fight

Floyd is a dirty fighter, blah blah blah.

I knew what Floyd was and I let him off the hook.

Well he seemed like a ****, especially after Mayweather had nothing but good things to say about him. I don't particularly like his style either.

mayweather and his uncle have been saying that for weeks about hatton
I knew what Floyd was and I let him off the hook.

thats hattons opinion about the fight,he feels mayweather was there for the taking, but he ****ed up and went gung ho rather than try and pick his shots

mayweather says the same **** after every fight, how this was his hardest fight and he has nothin but respect for ricky..blah blah blah...heard it all before

He didnt say Floyd was a dirty fighter, he said he fought a little dirty at times. BIG DIFFERENCE.

As someone who is a fan of both, I should also point out that Hatton said he would have done what Floyd did if he could get away with it, and in fact praised Floyd for doing it cleverly.

What he said about the ref, that was true. The ref was on his case. He wasnt going to win it, but I'm sure the ref didnt help matters. It looked to me that what Mayweathers camp said to him before the fight ("hattons a dirty fighter" etc) did have an effect on some of his decisions.

As for letting him off the hook, Hatton would not be far from the truth to believe he was winning it after 5 rounds, so the phrase "I let him off the hook" is appropriate considering he when from winning to the flat of his back.

That said, Hatton was a very gallant loser, and some of his quotes were just priceless.

              "What a fluke that was!"

"Its more comfortable than when I was on my back"

"I was doing alright till I slipped!"

Very funny, just a genuine guy who happens to be a great fighter.

So being respectful after every fight is a bad thing? Even if it is a flat out lie, it is better to say than, wow, that Baldomir was a ****ing bum, his parents should cut all ties with him.

Ricky threw a ****ing tantrum after getting knocked out... it's not like him not banking the early rounds (due to referee interference) made a ****ing difference.

I mean, I agree some of his **** was funny, and was said in jest, but there was an undertone of seriousness in all of that.

I agree with you in parts, i was a little disappointed with the way Ricky handled himself after the fight, but you have to remember that it was the first time Ricky has lost a fight in 45?? outings. I don't think he knew how to take a loss especially after the way he got floored in the 10th, must have hurt his pride that.
