I DO NOT HATE FLOYD MAYWEATHER!!!

I hate his desrespectful front runner fans, who do not know the first thing about boxing and claim he is the greatest fighter to ever live!!!!

    YOU'RE ONE OF THEM!!!!

There are plenty of respectful and nice Mayweather fans in this place, and its no coincidence that not one of them thinks Mayweather is close to being the greatest of all time yet...

That being said, of course Floyd is top 50. At least 34th or 35th.

        floyd is top 50 though.
I think floyd wins as well, but that doesnt mean its a hell of a fight and one that HAS to happen.

Read what IOLE has to say

"Ultimately, I think Mayweather's speed and quickness would be the difference in that fight. But Cotto is the one guy who could give Mayweather a legitimate run. This is a fight that has to happen."

Haha how is a guy able to do something that no boxer in the history of the sport has been able to do and not be in the top 50? the hate is strong. Championships in 5 weight classes, undefeated, but needs to do more, hes not even my favorite fighter, but get real if you cant recognize his greatness.

Hilarious how everyone that says anything bad about Mayweather (Tyson, Foreman, De La Hoya, Steward, etc) is immediately attacked and belittled.

I normally dont like this guy, but he is right:

"I don't have Mayweather in my top 50 yet. He may get there someday, but he needs more big wins, such as one over Miguel Cotto. As for Hatton, it's abundantly clear he's not a welterweight. He belongs at super lightweight. He will continue to fight."

Nobody with some common knowledge and doesnt have Mayweathers **** 3/4 of the way up their asses knows Mayweather isnt THE greatest of all time, not even close.
People, people! This is one fat guy's opinion. Everyone has opinions.

Boxing Scene Pound for Pound Top Ten

                      1) Floyd Mayweather (39-0, 25 KO)

                      Age: 30

Current Title: World Welterweight/147 lb. Champion (2006-Present)

Career Titles: World Jr. Lightweight/130 lb. champion (1998-2001); World Lightweight/135 lb. champion (2002-04); additional alphabet titles at 140 and 154 lbs.

Last Five Opponents: Ricky Hatton, Oscar De La Hoya, Carlos Baldomir, Zab Judah, Sharmba Mitchell

                      Up Next: TBA

My Take: Consider that tie broken. The biggest knock on “Money” and the real source of debate between Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao emerged because Floyd wasn’t fighting the best from 2003-2005 and because of the mis-timing of Judah-Mayweather as a pay-per-view show following Judah’s loss to Baldomir. With Hatton left on the floor, one has to look at the whole body of work in a new light. In the last two years and four fights, Floyd’s defeated the last two men (before him) to hold the real World championship at 147 lbs. in Zab Judah and Carlos Baldomir), the biggest draw in the game in a still tough Oscar and, to close 2007, the true Jr. Welterweight king in Ricky Hatton. Impressively, he beat Hatton on the inside, which no one predicted. From here the questions will be about Miguel Cotto, a potentially great fight, but let’s be honest…Miguel’s people didn’t even breathe Floyd’s name until seven years into Cotto’s career and seem to have booked away from him already on the 2008 schedule without even attempting to negotiate the fight. The onus is on Miguel Cotto to prove he can beat Floyd and not the other way around. The onus is on anyone to beat Floyd and not the other way around. The first fighter in history to win the lineal titles at 130 and 147 has, with the Hatton win, has defeated the reigning kings of four weight classes in his career and he’s not done yet. He might not quite be Ray Robinson level (yet), but Floyd is knocking on the door of the top twenty fighters that ever lived if he’s not already there.

Mayweather should retire with perfect record

A message to the greatest boxer alive: It's time to shut it down.

                      I'm begging you. Please.

After left-hooking Ricky Hatton back to Manchester ("Knocking him on his flag," as my uncle said), it is time for Mayweather to hang up the gloves and call it what it is while it is what it is: One of the best boxing careers ever seen. He has nothing left to prove. He's done his bid. It's time to do the Jim Brown.

But that won't happen. You know it. I know it. Mark Cuban, Helio Castroneves and Wayne Newton know it. Because in this era of professional sports no one can or will walk away at the perfect time. It's like there's a gene inside the DNA of all athletes that makes them compete past the point of brilliance and into this place where, let's just say, you end up in a Wizards uniform not making the playoffs.

At 39-0, Floyd Mayweather has the chance to be remembered as one of the undisputed pound-for-pound best ever in his sport. And although he said after the fight, "I've done all I could do in this sport, so I'm not thinking about fighting anybody else. I've accomplished my last goal" and promises that "I will never let boxing retire me," the power of money, ego, pride, boredom, limited options and more money will make someone with the op to go down in history take a risk that more often than not turns the most beautiful careers into something Julio Franco and Ricky Henderson would laugh at.

It's not often we see perfection in sports. Which is why Floyd Mayweather should retire, with nothing left to prove.
