Gatti was knocked to pieces from the first round and didn't land a single punch in the fight, being stopped finally in the sixth. Hatton was still in the fight in the sixth and in fact Floyd didn't really get himself together and start really landing with frequency until the seventh.

8th round actually. There were two fights on Saturday. The one where Hatton was allowed to hold and hit (rounds 1-7) and the rounds where he tried to fight (rounds 8-10). he did decent when he was allowed to work his illegal gameplan, but when he was forced to fight, not so much lol

Floyd really took control from the 8th round forward. Gatti didn't land a punch all night on Mayweather, he just stood there and took the punches at least Hatton was able to make Floyd umcomfortable the first 6 rounds.

I guess the fight where Hatton was allowed to hold and hit wasn't the one on HBO. I've seen some lousy revisionism on this site but this one takes the cake. When was Hatton allowed to hold and hit in that fight?
