          why fight above his weight?

Floyd is a small welterweight who was too ***** to fight at a catch weight like Hatton wanted.

He'll take Malinaggi in NY, then Cotto at a lower weight.

And what would the "catch weight" be between 140 and 147? You do realize Floyd weighed 138 fight night when he fought 130. He easily makes 140 now, but he wants to unify the division, so he made the fight at 147 so he could keep his title. And Cotto is not going back down to 140 just to fight Hatton.
