Your blatant ignorance of simple facts that EVERYONE that watched the fight could witness with little difficulty is astonishing.

Muscles require oxygen to function. Oxygen enters the body through the lungs, which are supplied via the throat. A fighter placing his forearm in your throat and pushing restricts your air intake, and effectively asphixiates you.

    Tired fighters make more mistakes.

Pushing on a fighters neck fatigues the neck muscles and reduces the amount of punishment a fighter can endure.

Both pushing on a fighters head and pushing your elbows and forearms into a fighters neck are both illegal in the sport of boxing.

Fouls in the sport of boxing are few and far between. Most rules in the sport of boxing are in place for the safety of the fighter. Hitting behind the head is illegal because of the potential for damage to the base of the skull and the brain. Punches to the kidney are illegal for the potential for kidney damage. Low blows are illegal for obvious reasons. Elbows and headbutts are illegal for the potential to cause cuts and other serious damage.

Rules are there to protect the fighter. Floyd Mayweather demonstrated with great effectiveness why those rules are in place.

if floyd was pushing off with his elbows that means hatton had him in a clinch/wrestling move and thats illegal so the fouls cancel each other out

What a crybaby *****. Stay over there in England where you are allowed to foul all you want, hugger. In America, where we enforce rules (AKA not holding and hitting), you got ****ed up.

You did not watch the fight, that is more than obvious.

lol, I love how you selectively apply the rules, even stating what qualifies as a rule.

Your blind hatred for Ricky Hatton is pathetic. Did he sleep with your mother or something? Did he knock out your dad? Did he steal your sisters ******ity? There must be a reason for the hate.

Hatton said last night: “I'm delighted about Joe Cortez. He is a very experienced referee and he will not listen to the stuff about me being a dirty fighter. Cortez has been there and seen it all. If Floyd or myself foul then we will get punished for it.”
This doesn't necessarily mean much. It is often a wise move to talk up the ref before a fight so as to get on his good side. You don't always want to disparage a ref before a fight and thus make him biased. That's the fear anyway.

Floyd held Hatton at least as much as Hatton 'held' him. Too bad the ref did not do anything about it. He is not a good enough ref to see through the smoothness of Floyd's fouls, which are so casually made that they are not dealt with by the refs.
