Margarito comes forward, he isnt a boxer by any stretch of the imagination, and he CERTAINLY wasnt a boxer in that fight.

IF u did, and were a Williams fan, u would concede that Williams wouldnt be able to get off that many punches. Mayweathers defense is unbelievable.

Williams would be the one coming forward and mayweather would dance to the sides and pot shot him and then get out of the way. Williams is wide open for that kind of attack.

And, if ull notice, which i probably didnt, Mayweather has problems with a good stiff jab. Williams's only hope would be to get that stiff jab in there to get his punches off. BUT, Williams jab is nothing better then a flick. It works when fighters like Margarito are walking right into you, but its gonna work in the least when ur the one coming forward.

If williams was able to pull it off, it would be an extraordinary upset IMO.

you do know that williams fought margarito with an injured hand and rib. remember when paul went to the hospital in puerto rico b4 the fight? that wasnt even a 100 percent williams that beat margarito. what do you think a 100 percent williams would to to floyd? you think floyd will be able to hurt paul? do you think floyd will be able to counter efficiently when he has to reach up to hit williams. williams is a paradox that floyd has not even thought about fighting. williams aint no diego corrales. he is way better than corrales. way better and bigger and stronger. you think floyd is going to be able to ole willaism face into a turnbuckle? if floyd beats williams, he wont do it without getting his face swelled up like when martin lawrence fought tommy hearns.

I am sick of hearing about Williams honestly. He's a good fighter but people talk like he's the second coming. He throws alot of punches and is freakishly tall for his weight so I think he'll give anyone he fights trouble. I hope Floyd fights Cotto next, thats the fight that makes sense to me. If he beats Cotto then I could see a match against Williams. If Floyd takes 2 yrs off like he says, which I doubt he'll do, then I'd like to see Cotto fight Williams.

yeah i agree with you that his volume of punches and workrate plus the tall aspect are why he could beat floyd, but i want to see cotto vs money may as well

as much as i like Floyd, i think that the punch volume and work rate of Williams would over come the speed and ability of Mayweather. and on top of that, hes a 6'2 southpaw who is still devoloping and learning boxing skill. Floyd would look bad in this fight. its just the wrong style for him.
