Jeff Lacy is on a downhill

Looking at Lacy at the weigh in, being the same height as Manfredo, he looked 2 or 3 weight classes bigger. Looked like he would demolish Manfredo, till he got in the ring. Part of it may be the shoulder surgery, part of it may be ring rust, and part of it may be the confidence he lost getting shutout by Calzaghe. He's still young though, who knows, he might suprise us in the future.

Lacy barely won 5 rounds when he should've dominated. The KD was a flash KD because Peter had just jumped backwards and landed on both feet when the punch semi-connected. The wind off a whiff would've KD'd him.

Lacy isn't going to amount to much now, after his surgery. He looked terrible against a joke opponent.

Yeah as a Joe Cal fan it was sad to see Lacy looking so poor, at least the guy went 12 rounds with Joe.

Manfredo on the other hand is utter **** and sums up how untalented reality tv fighters are, before the fight i thought Lacy would knock him out early but he really is past it now.

Kessler, RJJ and Tarver would seriously destroy him, hopefully Jeff realises this and puts his safety first.

Yeh as a big Cally fan I was looking forward to seeing Lacy in action again...ah in fact ill just copy and paste my post from another forum....


The Lacy fight,yeh I was really looking forward to seeing Lacy in action again after his Calzaghe beating,man Calzaghe took him to school that night.Anyway yeh was interested in this fight but tbh Lacy didnt impress me too much cos lets face it 18 months ago Lacy WAS THE GOLDEN BOY of boxing with his IBF belt and was destined for great thing untill Cally intercepted his dreams,LoL.So yeh my m8 was on the phone just b4 the Lacy fight and I laughed and sed wtf's Manfredo doing in the same ring as Lacy?Lacy is gonna tear off his ****ing head in front of the crowd to show hes still a champion because after Cally is moving up a weight theres gonna be titles on offer now after his exit so you would think Lacy would have been eager to show class but imo he didnt and only just clawed a win over Manfredo.

All I can grasp from that is the defeat by Cally has had a major effect on Lacy and Cally was at ringside too!I thought Lacy would have knocked him cold tbh.

He just came back from surgery and a long inactivity.

If you cannot get sharp against Manafraido who can you get sharp against? The guy just stands there tapping his opponents hoping for the best.
