Crazy how much bigger Lacy looked than Manfredo. And they are the same height. He should have been muscling Manfredo around, and finished him when he got him hurt.

Lacy was a very good fighter until he met Calzaghe. Calzaghe beat up Lacy so bad he ruined his career, Calzaghe is a ****ing beast.

okay Jeff Lacy can kick my ass, are you happy? among the "elite" hes a bum in my eyes, Sergio Mora bout knocked out Peter Manfredo and an ex champ cant, a product of great matchmaking, nothing more.

If someone is among the elite then they are not a bum. If someone is a former titleholder they are not a bum. I think it's one of those throwaway terms that I'd like to see less of.

Last night's version of Lacy would get destroyed by Tarver and would likely end his career. I just hope that his handlers take that into consideration before sending in a fighter whose very vunerable....

hate to write off a guy that is still young and in his "prime" but he is severly limited, hasn't improved as a fighter and was greatly exposed by Calzaghe. Great fighters learn to adapt and go to a plan B, C etc if one thing is not working. Lacy could never do that and still can't sluggers eventually get exposed usually by better skilled fighters. Once a fighter can take your punch then what do you do?
That fight tarnished his image but the shoulder operation may have robbed him of his one vaunted weapon-his left hook. Hope he proves me wrong. I liked him when he was coming up but much like another fighter I liked coming up (Jermain Taylor) they regress with each fight vs improving.

yeh hes definately not going to make a big impact on the division...he might pick up a title along the way but thats pretty unlikely....i hope kessler unifies the division if calzaghe doesnt stick around...

I don't feel Lacy is bum, however I don't believe he deserves a title shot anytime soon. Man...he looked terrible last night. I hope he can shake off the ring rust.
