I understand you're wanting to back Calzaghe, and I respect that but I'm speaking on facts alone, not opinion.
Tarver is not remotely close to Calzaghe's level.

Preach, brother. Tarver would get torn up by all of the greats, prime-for-prime.

But that victory would mean more than the Trinidad and Tarver wins by far, simply because Tarver never was all that, I knew Hopkins would decision him, perhaps not so easily, but I knew that he'd win, wasn't a doubt in my mind, and the Trinidad victory will forever be disregarded due to obvious reasons, Trinidad was a welterweight.

Right now he'd be fighting a hungry, skillful, POTENTIAL all time great with more youth and just as much experience (this combination doesn't come together very often) I'll admit I was wide out with the Hatton prediction, and I'm pretty sure that's because I like Ricky more than I did Floyd, now I do like Zaghe more than I do Hopkins, but there is no doubt in my mind that Calzaghe will win this one decisively.

I'm not bashing Hopkins, he's a great fighter, I just don't think he's active enough to beat Calzaghe.

BTW, Hatton isn't under the promotion of Frank Warren.
You're playing the bull**** game now, and you know it. Nothing you say changes the fact that when Trinidad was competing in that tournament, prior to facing Hopkins, he beat everybody's ass, and there wa no doubt whatsoever that he'd beat Hopkins' ass as well.

Unfortunately Hopkins mauled his little ass, and then the excuses began to pour in.

Barely beat Winky? The scores were 116-112, 116-112, and 117-111. I saw Wright losing nearly ever round of that fight, Hopkins roughed him up badly. It was an ugly fight, but Wright got spanked.
So we go by what the scorecards say now, because that is the be-all of it?

No. Many people thought Wright won. Even 8 rounds to 4 vs a blown up middleweight doesn't lend much credence to thinking Hopkins will somehow beat Joe Calzaghe.

He beat a smallish MW in Joppy. Big deal.

But I definitely see your point, Bringer. Hopkins did well in that fight, shcoked the world, and hurt my heart forever.

No offense but a lot of users on thie website are teenage boys new to the sport of boxing. I'll take a 50 year old judge with experience in judging fights accurately's opinion over their's any day of the week.

Not me. I've been watching fights for years and I agree with some of those '15 year old boys'. They agree by sheer idiotic chance, I agree by logic. However, I don't fully agree that Wright won anything clearly, but neither did Hopkins in my eyes.

50 year old judges often come up with scores worse than a 15 year old might be able to.

Why is it some of you folks, like the idiot, racist poster are always adding nationalism to these fights?

Is your life so empty that if a Klit brother lost you would be near suicide?
WTF does Hatton losing have to do with Calzaghe???

Is any Englishman less proud because Hatton lost?...or because I'm American I should be expecting a check from PBF?

Grow up Wlad...or get a life.
