    Hatton Fans Are Too Funny

The thing that gets me is that there talking about the ref and where the fight was located.

How can you complain about the ref when Hatton is famous for holding, wrestling, and being dirty. He even admits as much as says that its not a tickeling contest. Not only that but they act like the ref stopped Hatton from doing what he wanted. Even with all his step-ins, 90% of the fight was still a in-close wrestling match. It still was a Hatton style fight the whole time and he couldnt win. They make it sound like this was RJ-Ruiz where the ref made it be a boxing match. Cortez didnt. Hatton still ran in all the time, tried to rough Floyd up, and make it a wrestling match.

2nd and even more embarrasing to talk about is how they should have a rematch in Manchester? What are you talking about? Hatton had damn near the whole crowd. The fight was in Vegas but it was still like all of Hatton's fights in the US. He still had the majority of the crowd. Floyd basically beat him in his hometown. Its funny to me because alot of Euro's are so use to the big hometown advantage. There so use to Hatton & Calzaghe fighting where its all 60,000 for them and none for the opposing fighter. They actually think that is fair or what Floyd had was the same thing. Its not even close. Hatton has never had one fight in his whole career where he fought a guy with the crowd against him. Now he has one fight where the opponent only has like 30% of the crowd and there crying about that. Its a joke. Again, Floyd fighting in Manchester vs Hatton fighting in Vegas is no comparison and anyone with a brain can see that. Over here Hatton still had the crowd and in Wembley it would be 90,000 vs 1 but thats the samething I guess?

Mayweather gave as good as he got last night.

I agree. Mayweather still beating him with everyone booing him and cheering for Hatton, made his victory even more impressive. What would happen to Ricky if he didn't have his fans to push him on? He's never proved he could do it without them, from what I know. All the whining about the ref is funny. If it wasn't him it would be about something or someone else. But the bottom line is, they were going to whine about something anyway. That's why there were a bunch of threads out saying "no excuses". The truth is, even a lot of Mayweather fans would have found something to complain about. This is nothing new to boxing.

There's no point in 'complaining'. What there is a point to is the "notorious for holding" comment. Floyd is a dirtier fighter than Hatton is. That's cool, but it's odd his fans misjudge him so badly.

Hatton would get beat 9 times out of 10, regardless of where they fought.

I've no complaints, but the Ref was way too picky.
