    Ice,

As the good guy, Floyd would be popular, but not this record=breaking boxing mega-star. I have seen a ton of FMJ fights, and he is EXTEREMELY classy inside the ring.

Yeah, he's tough and dirty. All great fighters stretch the rules. All of them. Especially the Michigan guys. But FMJ has elected to create this persona, and it is making him buckets of money.

If he wasn't so hated by the Brits, would THAT many of them have flown over? The vitriol loosened their pursestrings.

it would be korny if two good guys fight each other.

someone gotta be the bad guy to make the hype.

I many of Floyd fight and post fight interview and he alway say his oppenet is good.

I disagree. Floyd is a good looking guy and reasonably eloquent. Once he got the p4p status he'd be cashing in big time anyway. The man would have no 'haters'

So, what would distinguish PBF from, say, early 2000's Shane Mosley? Or late 90's Roy Jones?

Incredible ring performances. Pound-for-pound fighter. Easy on the eyes. Ridiculous athleticism. Disappointing ticket sales.

it was just a shallow (and unneccessary, considering his retirement) attempt to gain new fans, nothing more. He does what he has to do to 'get that money' as he would say. . .

Honestly being the bad guy is not bad though. It sells tickets because people tune in to see the bad guy get KO'd, in Floyd's case, the bad guy always wins

He has done it after every fight.

He did it after Gatti...after an ugly pre-fight promo.

He did it after Judah... after Judah fouled him badly.

He did it after Oscar.... after insulting Oscar repeatedly.

He did it after Ricky..... BECAUSE THAT IS WHO HE "REALLY" is.
